We've spent the past few years sifting through almost countless rumours about Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and while the majority ended up being incorrect, there were a fair few which were right too. However, something no one reported is that the movie ends with the funerals of both Clark Kent and Superman after he's killed by Doomsday. Talking to Buzzfeed, director Zack Snyder admitted to being shocked that no one ever figured out that that was the way things were set to pan out. Admitting that he spent the day "monitoring" various forums and comment sections to see if anyone realised what the plan was, he said: "I was shocked that people did not immediately jump to the conclusion. I think they just felt like, ‘That’s impossible. They’re not going to kill Superman.’ I mean, a couple people did [figure it out], but then they were all yelled at. It was funny."

Back on set, Snyder went to great lengths to keep those all important funeral scenes under wraps, and with Henry Cavill lying in an open casket, those mourning for Clark Kent had to be made up of the film's crew to ensure to details would leak! "Literally the electricians, camera guys. My script supervisor’s child is the kid [in the scene]." As for the other funeral and memorial service, that was a little easier, though it sounds like some extras still managed to figure it out. "I would tell [the extras] that there was a huge tragedy, and Superman saved the day," Snyder explains. "But there was a lot of emotion around what happened, and it’s a sad day. Everyone worked it out in their own heads. There was one fireman who was really crying. I was like, Wow, that’s great."

As for that final tease that Superman is still alive, should we be worried that he's going to end up staying there? "No, they probably don’t have to be freaked out by that," he laughed, adding: "But, we haven’t filmed it yet, so… I went back and forth with it, to be honest. I do feel like it offers a teeny bit of hope for those people who need it. I feel like it’s obvious that we have to figure out a way to get him back, but I don’t know that everyone [knows that]. So I just wanted to give them that little jolt out of the theater, where they’re like, Oh shit! What’s going to happen?" How do you think Justice League should handle the return of Superman? Let us know your thoughts in the usual place.

@LEVITIKUZ - Was Flashpoint teased with one of the dream sequences? I was confused by that part.

@LEVITIKUZ - I don't know if it was shitty, I just didn't feel superman's outcome as much as I felt Han's. And I'm not really that much into Star Wars.

@AlexdoxA - That's because we got to know Han. Got to relate to Han.

Han in a New Hope was just a smuggler worried about money and not about helping out who at the end of the film helped the Rebels.

Empire Strikes Back was 3 storylines:

Vader searching for Luke
Luke training to be a Jedi
Han and Leia's love story

We related to Han and Leia's love story and loved it.
