After electrifying the Hall H crowd yesterday, Warner Bros. has released a handful of hi-resolution stills from their next live-action DC adventure, Black Adam, will see Dwayne Johnson take on the role of Teth-Adam and unleash his unique form of justice on the modern world.
Plot details remain relatively under wraps, but the synopsis teases that the story will pick up with Black Adam being awakened on present-day Earth. The synopsis reads, "Nearly 5,000 years after he was bestowed with the almighty powers of the ancient gods—and imprisoned just as quickly—Black Adam is freed from his earthly tomb, ready to unleash his unique form of justice on the modern world."
In addition to Johnson in the title role, the supporting cast will consist of Aldis Hodge as Carter Hall/Hawkman, Noah Centineo as Al Rothstein/Atom Smasher, Sarah Shahi as Adrianna Tomaz, Marwan Kenzari as Ishmael Gregor/Sabbac, Quintessa Swindell as Maxine Hunkel/Cyclone, Bodhi Sabongui as Amon, Pierce Brosnan as Kent Nelson/Doctor Fate, and Viola Davis as Amanda Waller. James Cusati-Moyer, Mo Amer, and Uli Latukefu will also appear, but their roles remain undisclosed.
Black Adam storms into theaters on October 21.
