New SILVER AND BLACK Plot Details Reveal How The Main Characters Wind Up Teaming Together & More

That Hashtag Show has already provided us with plenty of information on Sony's planned Silver & Black movie, and now they've shared some details on the main characters themselves.

It seems Felicia Hardy, AKA Black Cat, is going to wind up being hunted by Mendel Stromm/Gaunt when she steals something of his using what's described as an “enhancement”. This puts Silver Sable on her tail because the lethal mercenary (here portrayed as a bounty hunter for the U.S. Department of Justice) hopes Hardy will lead her to Stromm, who has been performing some kind of experiments on the Symkarian people.

The two then decide to put their differences aside and team-up to stop Gaunt and his cronies, Scorpion and Tarantula.

According to this report, Sable is the main protagonist of the story, with Black Cat more of a secondary player. They also mention that the studio is currently searching for actresses in their early to mid-twenties to fill both roles.

Tell us, are you guys excited for Silver & Black, or do you think these Spidey spin-offs are a little pointless? Sound off in the usual place.

But who actually wants this? Who Sony?

I dunno. It just doesn't seem all that necessary. Also, this could've been interesting if they took the angle of a super powered Ocean's Eleven and made it a full-blown heist movie where they team up to take Gaunt's technology.

If it s true that scorpions is in this I hope that doesn't [frick] with him being in the Spiderman films. I want him to suit up in those

@LegendaryOutlaw - I think he was just included in Homecoming to act as a link to this movie.

@Ryguy88 - That could be true, but I don't think that's the case. In the mid credits scene he clearly wants to get back at Spider-Man, so no doubt you'd expect him to show up in a sequel. I'd just hate to find out that if he is in Silver/Black That, whether or not it's connected to the MCU, they decide not to use him in a sequel to Spider-Man.

And honestly the way that Feige and Pascal go back and forth on whether or not Sony's villain movies are MCU, I think it means heavier on the side that there a no connection. And I'd be hard pressed to believe that we'd see two different scorpions on the screen at the same time.

It's the same with Venom. If the villain movies aren't connected, Venom will more than likely not show up in a Spider-man sequel so that Marvel and Sony don't confuse the more casual audience.

@LegendaryOutlaw - that could happen too. If he is in Homecoming 2 I wouldnt expect him to be the main villain though.

Maybe Sony is planning to tie all of these Spider-verse movies together at some point in one big Spider-movie!

@Ryguy88 - I wouldn't be surprised to see Sony tie them together. I think we'll have to wait and see. I'm a part of the consensus that believes that if the Sony movies are good, they'll say the movies have always been connected, and if they're bad, they'll say they were never connected.

@LegendaryOutlaw - that sounds like a reasonable insurance plan.

@ODanil - I'm getting tired of this long drawn out joke. I'm starting to think they're serious and this movie is actually getting made.

@ODanil - It seems so, and there are actually some people interested in this. If they make a good script, I don't see a problem with this film. But again, this is Sony we're talking about...

@ODanil - Well, they made the Emoji movie. At this point, Sony has proven to make THE bad decisions.

Plot sounds alright but it would be so much better if there was some official cohesiveness to the MCU, oh and if it wasn't done by Sony.

@IKidYouNotMan - Scorpion will probably be the only connection to the MCU.

Nah. [frick] this movie.

...no, seriously. That's what Invictor told me.
Invictor
Invictor - 8/8/2017, 11:44 AM
@BasketBallGod - It's gonna take place in a universe that doesn't acknowledge Spider-Man while using some supporting Spider-Man characters (Black Cat, Scorpion, etc.) that I want to see in the MCU, which could ruin the chances of even seeing them appear and/or return to the MCU.

@Invictor - thats the worst reason ever.
