BLACK PANTHER: WAKANDA FOREVER Character Posters & TV Spot May Reveal The Identity Of T'Challa's Successor

While the identity of T'Challa's successor as the Black Panther remains one of the year's biggest mysteries, this latest TV spot for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever may reveal the new hero's identity.

A brand new TV spot and six new character posters for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever were released tonight during the NBA on TNT action, and the latest piece of footage may have offered our biggest clue yet as to who will take up the Black Panther mantle from T'Challa (Chadwick Boseman).

Near the end of the 45-second spot, we see the new Black Panther in action, and as she flips onto the battlefield, she utilizes her new black-and-gold suit's gauntlets, which look suspiciously similar to the vibranium gauntlets Shuri (Letitia Wright) was known to wield in her appearances in Black PantherAvengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame

While Shuri was always the most logical choice to succeed her late brother, this would appear to be the closest we'll get to any sort of confirmation before the film opens in theaters next month.

There's also some fresh Namor (Tenoch Huerta) and Ironheart (Dominique Thorne) footage to enjoy, as we get a great new shot of the latter's suit.

Check out the new TV spot and character posters below:

In Marvel Studios’ “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett), Shuri (Letitia Wright), M’Baku (Winston Duke), Okoye (Danai Gurira) and the Dora Milaje (including Florence Kasumba) fight to protect their nation from intervening world powers in the wake of King T’Challa’s death. As the Wakandans strive to embrace their next chapter, the heroes must band together with the help of War Dog Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o) and Everett Ross (Martin Freeman) and forge a new path for the kingdom of Wakanda. Introducing Tenoch Huerta Mejía as Namor, king of a hidden undersea nation, the film also stars Dominique Thorne, Michaela Coel, Mabel Cadena and Alex Livinalli. “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” directed by Ryan Coogler and produced by Kevin Feige and Nate Moore, opens in U.S. theaters Nov. 11, 2022.

Still going with everyone donning the suit. It will be about a community overcoming grief together. Marvel is pretty good at misdirection in trailers, this is a good example.

It's Shuri. Look at her war paint in Black Panther and in Endgame. Her Black Panther helmet has the same exact dots in the same spots as she did on her face during those two battles.

@KWilly - Stop telling people to let it go. Why don't YOU let it go telling people to let it go.

They CAN recast T'Challa for BP3 and other movies, there's PLENTY of time for THAT.

Shuri is 100% the Black Panther of the majority of this film. Will she be by the end though, is the real question...

I hope it's not a misdirect and stays Shuri for the foreseeable future cause if they do replace her, it will only imply that Disney is caving into the online noise against her. Most of the rumors seem to be conjecture and besides people are allowed to have their opinions, whether it's right or not. My fingers are crossed hoping that Letitia is allowed to keep the role and carry it forward.
