Black Panther: Wakanda Forever starts rolling into theaters this evening, though the mystery surrounding the new Black Panther's identity is no longer much of a secret!
While it hasn't been outright confirmed, it's obvious Letitia Wright's Shuri is beneath the mask, even if Okoye remains a strong contender in the eyes of many fans. Now, Hot Toys has released a highly-detailed action figure based on the MCU's new Black Panther, and these photos are sure to be a cosplayer's dream come true!
For starters, between the ceremonial markings on her face and the fact she's using those Vibranium gauntlets, we can quite safely say it's Shuri who has picked up where T'Challa left off. Regardless of who wears the suit, though, it looks absolutely phenomenal here.
The figure features an all-new masked head with mystical elements, a newly developed head sculpt and hair sculpture (which has yet to be revealed), a highly-poseable body, a spear, interchangeable hands for fighting poses, and a figure stand.
We're sure this won't be the last Black Panther: Wakanda Forever figure released by Hot Toys, so fingers crossed Tenoch Huerta's Namor the Submariner is up next. It would also be cool to see characters like M'Baku and various members of the Dora Milaje receive the spotlight.
In the Black Panther sequel, Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett), Shuri (Letitia Wright), M’Baku (Winston Duke), Okoye (Danai Gurira) and the Dora Milaje (including Florence Kasumba) fight to protect their nation from intervening world powers in the wake of King T’Challa’s death.
As the Wakandans strive to embrace their next chapter, the heroes must band together with the help of War Dog Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o) and Everett Ross (Martin Freeman) and forge a new path for the kingdom of Wakanda. Introducing Tenoch Huerta as Namor, king of Talokan, the film also stars Dominique Thorne, Michaela Coel, Mabel Cadena and Alex Livinalli.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever arrives in theaters on November 11.
