Letitia Wright is not happy with THR!
The Black Panther: Wakanda Forever star courted controversy during production on the Marvel Studios sequel by sharing anti-vax sentiments on social media. Reports that she had also been espousing those same views on the movie's set followed, but director Ryan Coogler and producer Nate Moore have since refuted the claims.
Wright has apologized and is attempting to move on, but THR has now published a piece on how the "personal baggage" of potential Oscar contenders such as Wright, Brad Pitt and Will Smith could impact their chances at the Academy Awards.
The article goes on to mention the likes of Mel Gibson, Roman Polanski and Woody Allen as examples of disgraced individuals who managed to find success - and even plaudits - after very serious allegations were leveled at them.
Clearly furious at being lumped in with such infamous company, Wright has called out the trade in her Insta stories for what she describes as "incredibly disrespectful" and "disgusting" behaviour. The actress also seems to feel that THR and writer Scott Feinberg have a "personal vendetta" against her.
While it's definitely worth reading the entire article for more context, it's easy enough to understand why Wright is so frustrated here.
