BLACK ADAM Actress Sarah Shahi Seemingly Teases Her Role With New Instagram Post

The news broke last October that Sarah Shahi had joined the cast of Black Adam as the film's female lead, and the Reverie actress has now teased her involvement (and quite possibly her character) with a new Instagram post.

Initial reports claimed that Shahi was in line to play Teth Adam's (Dwayne Johnson) wife Adrianna Tomaz, aka Isis, but all we know for certain is that her character is "a university professor and freedom fighter leading the resistance in Kahndaq." However, the comic books Shahi has chosen to showcase here might just confirm her role.

Isis factors significantly into both issues #13 and #16 of DC's 52 limited series, and the latter actually features her wedding to Black Adam.

The Jaume Collet-Serra-directed DC Comics adventure will also feature Justice Society members Hawkman (Aldis Hodge), Cyclone (Quintessa Swindell) and Atom Smasher (Noah Centineo). We still don't know who'll portray Doctor Fate. A rumor that WB might be considering a JSA movie did the rounds recently, but that will likely depend on whether Black Adam is a success.

Black Adam would already have commenced production if it wasn't for the industry-wide COVID-19 delays, but we recently found out that it's been taken off the studio's release schedule altogether and is currently undated.

I’m cautiously optimistic about this. I like The Rock hes just so damn charismatic I cant help but like him even if he isnt exactly an amazing actor. I thought Shazam was fine but had some issues with it, I’d prefer if this went a LITTLE darker given the character but as long as its like a B+ ill be happy

every actor in a cbm role makes a post like this. considering dc's track record im sure this will also be a dumpster fire. poor shazam. hope his sequel turns out fine.

Shahi is just great, across the board.

But good luck reading 52 if you're not already deep into DC canon. I thought it was absolutely impenetrable.

...And if WB actually is looking for a female-led DC-Max, then... you know... do Isis.

@Spock0Clock - Really? I found a few books pretty accessible. Brian Azarrello Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and Scott Snyder Batman I liked a lot and kind of start from scratch. Justice League, Superman and a few others i read were a bit tough though

@Ha1frican - I'm talking about the "52" series, to be clear (two of the issues in the picture are from that series).

Not to be confused with the "New 52" reboot that came after.

Stunningly gorgeous. She should read World War III if she's doing research.

Not hyped for this movie but I'm glad another of my TV favourites is getting a shot at making a big time movie.
Sarah was great in Person of Interest.

Hope that the movie industry could give some love to Amy Acker as well
