SPIDER-MAN Spinoff SILVER AND BLACK Dropped From Sony's Schedule Pending A Rewrite
Reports are coming in that Sony has removed Silver and Black from their schedule. The Spider-Man spinoff was set to hit theatres early next year, we're now hearing that the studio has ordered a rewrite...
It seems Sony Pictures has dropped the Silver and Black movie from the current schedule.
The Spider-Man spinoff was set to open on Feb. 8 of next year, but Sony has now moved the Tom Hanks WWII drama Greyhound into that slot.
Exhibitor Relations broke the news via Twitter, but Deadline has since added a few details. According to them, the project is headed back into development, and although Captain Marvel screenwriter Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Chaos Walking scribe Lindsey Beer have handed in a draft, a rewrite has been ordered.
As far as we know, Gina Prince-Bythewood (Hulu/Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger) is still on board to direct.
