Captain America: The Winter Soldier looks set to exceed everyone's expectations this weekend, and while early predicitions pegged it as opening to around $90 million, those later estimates of over $100 million now look almost guaranteed to become a reality. With an 'A' CinemaScore and very positive reviews from fans and critics alike, the Marvel Studios sequel will hold the prestigious honour of having the biggest April opening of all-time by Monday morning. With a third instalment in the franchise already set for 2016, this is a franchise that Kevin Feige is very confident in, and an opening like this definitely means that the patriotic superhero will be around for a long time...

omega- i think that WB need to reduce the budget's they give new super hero films, like marvel they should give their heroes a budget anywhere between 150-200 million no more. after all MOS had a bigger budget that the avengers, it goes to show that a bigger budget does not mean it will be a better film.

BvS haveing a budget of 300 million, god that is may too much in my opinion. if BvS doesent make avengers numbers then WB are screwed. they be better of with a smaller budget.

@KingHulk

It's a movie with Batman and Superman AND Wonder Woman, a small budget isn't really an option.

It was a damn good movie. It wasn't the best cbm ever (that's still TDK), but it was Marvel Studio's best cbm.

My one complaint is the shaky cam during a few of the fight scenes made them really hard to follow.
It made me kinda nauseous. Got flashbacks to the first Bourne movie.

The 3D was just a gimmick though...I'd rather see it again in 2D but I'll just wait for the Blu-Ray. TASM2 trailer rocked in 3D and it looks like the 3D is really going to be worth it there.
