CIVIL WAR, BATMAN V SUPERMAN & X-MEN: APOCALYPSE TV Spots - Six Things You Missed

Super Bowl 50 gave us spots for 3 of the most anticipated CBMs of 2016, & even though we got no Spider-Man, or a new Batman V Superman trailer, what we did see tells us a lot about what to expect.

@blackandyellow - These next couple of months are gonna be torture. We only have free agency and the draft to look forward to and then nothing until preseason.

This is not in the TFV spot at all - but one of the “surprises” is that I believe Mercy Graves (portrayed by Tao Okamoto) has a bigger role than what people think. I think she will be revealed to be an Amazon. If you watch the animated DC film …I think it was Wonder Woman…at the end when the Amazons are saving people someone refers to the Amazon’s being “Supermodels.” If you look then at the casting choices it seems to confirm it. Gal Gadot is a 5’10’’ former model turned actress who will turn 31 in 2016. Mercy Graves is portrayed by Tao Okamoto a 5’10’’ former model turned actress who will turn 31 in 2016 within a month of Gadot. That is an interesting coincidence for two random people unless you are casting for a similar 'type" and at 5'10" (unusually tall for a woman) Tao Okamoto is the exact same height as not only Gadot but Connie Nielson who we know is an Amazon, Hippolyta. It would be consistent with the New 52 comics, where Mercy Graves is an Amazon who apparently left. Gadot and Okamoto in their limited scenes in the trailers are strikingly “fashionable” whereas the only other woman – Lois Lane - is not so much and not nearly as tall as the others.

Out of all the trailers I posted on my instagram Civil War is getting the most love. I thoroughly enjoyed them all though. I would've posted the BvS one but I think people would think it's just a regular infomercial. Doesn't matter, in due time March along with this summer will bring in all the glory.
