FAN MADE: "Bootleg" Style CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR Trailer

It'll be a while yet before we see an official trailer for Marvel's Captain America: Civil War, but this fan-made effort might just be good enough to tide you over. It's edited together in a leaked "bootleg" style which some may find annoying, but still well worth a watch...

By MarkCassidy - Jun 17, 2015 12:06 PM EST

This fan-made trailer for the Marvel threequel is brilliantly put together, but for whatever reason the editor has chosen to upload it as if it's been leaked from a theater, complete with whooping simpletons making it impossible to hear anything. I mean he's obviously not trying to pass it off as an actual bootleg because he's included a "fan-made" tag in the title! Maybe that adds to the experience? Anyway, even with all the noise and shaky-cam it's pretty damn impressive.

Directed by Anthony & Joe Russo from a screenplay by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely, Captain America: Civil War picks up where Avengers: Age of Ultron left off, as Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain. Starring Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Paul Bettany, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd, Chadwick Boseman, Emily VanCamp, Daniel Brühl, Frank Grillo, William Hurt, and Martin Freeman, Captain America: Civil War is set for release on May 6, 2016.

This is unwatchable. I can't understand the thought process of making some great fan-made trailer, but then covering it up and making it absolute shit by pretending that it's a bootleg.

If the person who made this actually studied leaked trailers beforehand, they'd know the audience isn't continuously clapping throughout the entire trailer. They're supposed to WANT to hear the trailer.

This was really average, as far as fan trailers go, and that fake audience reaction was stupid. They cheered and clapped at EVERYTHING - go watch any leaked trailer, doesn't happen. Half-assed effort.

To be fair I have seen Comic Con bootlegs etc where the crowd were screeching like idiots through the whole thing.

It was good. And it was cool he took such a big risk making it look bootleg. I bet he could even fool some people. Hell, there may even be some arguments on this thread about whether its real or not.

I liked the part where they started cheering and clapping for Hitler

...Okay, that wasn't so good. Using footage from games such as Ultimate Alliance 2 and Super Soldier was a good idea, though.

I love how the audience never shuts the [frick] up.

"HITLER! [frick] YEAH!"

The clapping and cheering overlap didn't even come close to matching the trailer beats.

These are almost always terrible. Fanmade stuff usually is. Shitty mash-up trailers, terrible photoshop posters with cringe-worthy tag lines and fan films with awful acting.

Can't understand the desire to put that much time into something for a fleeting pat on the back.

Can he just upload a non-crappy version of this? This is a great trailer, so can't the creator just upload a much better version of this- one without the annoying whooping and one that doesn't look like it was filmed on a potato?

looks pretty good for being fanmade. The crossbones snippet will make some people talk about it.

@TheBritAvenger

I cant post an article anymore. I dont see the option to publish. Dont know whats different, but before I could press "preview" then upload it if everything was good.

Im sitting on a couple editorials and that script. It would basically be the first part of the film. If people wanted to keep reading i would add the rest.

It was a great fanmade trailer minus the [frick]ing cheering. Comic Con reveals are never this bad, at least with stuff like Batman V. Superman you were able to get some calm.
