Giant-Man Takes On The Sentinel Of Liberty In New CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR Concept Art

Did Captain America: Civil War contain a scene which pitted Scott Lang against his own team leader at one point? This latest concept illustration from Andy Park certainly seems to suggest so...

On the heels of this awesome Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2 keyframe illustration from Andy Park, the artist has posted another image to his Twitter page. This time it's some concept art from Marvel's Captain America: Civil War, which depicts a fierce clash of heroes, as Scott Lang in his Giant-Man guise takes on Steve Rogers.

Were these two on different sides in an early draft of the script, or did things break down between them during the airport battle? Whatever the case may be, they seemed to get on just fine in the theatrical version of the movie.

“Captain America: Civil War” picks up where “Avengers: Age of Ultron” left off, as Steve Rogers leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain.

Captain America: Civil War hits Blu-ray & DVD September 13.

@crawley - the blue on his suit, it might be repulser technology from stark.

maybe ant man originally had spiderman's spot on tony's team, and tony helped stabilize the suit for giant man, which would've caused a huge uproar lol.

@crawley - Ant man was Spidey's backup. He would have been Team Stark had the deal not happened.

@MattBellissimo - Weird. How would they have explained Ant-Man being on Stark's team with Hank Pam hating Stark and Scott Lang a professional criminal?

@MrDandy - I'm sure the Russos would have found a way haha. McFeely and Markus never gave an explanation as to how, but did confirm that they had that as the backup plan.

Rogers and Pym had a great fight in the original Ultimates comic. Steve kicked his ass.
