With the prince of Wakanda having his introduction in Marvel's Captain America: Civil War the character of Black Panther has grown immensely in popularity over the year, and it seems that fame out of his MCU venture is paying off. Ta-Nehisi Coates is writing the current Black Panther comic books series, and the first issue, Black Panther #1, has already sold 253, 259 issues in it's first month. That's crazy!

In addition to excellent sales, the comic has amazing reviews. Ta-Nehisi Coates writing for Marvel's first mainstream african-black hero is obviously cool as hell. Coates is known for being a correspondent for The Atlantic. He has also written a beautiful memoir entitled The Beautiful Struggle: A Father, Two Sons, And An Unlikely Road To Manhood plus he has written Between The World And Me. Which won him the National Book Award for Non-Fiction.

The book focuses on T'Challa's struggles to fairly rule and care for his homeland of Wakanda. It's great, pick it up. Not only that, but the character is having a great year; as Chadwick Boseman's portrayal of the character was well received and his first solo comic for the year has sold amazingly. While it didn't broke any major record, it still is a big feat for a character that wasn't a B or A lister.  The Black Panther movie is gonna be awesome.

Captain America: Civil War is currently in theaters.

Been meaning to buy issue two. I love Ta-Nehisi.

I hope Ryan Coogler's been meeting with him for help on the movie.

Same goes for Christopher Priest.

His movie is going to be incredibly succesful at this rate;

- Set-up at the end of Civil War
- Black Panther
- Winter Soldier
- Cameos from Team Cap
- Leads into Infinity War Part 1

It has a lot going for it and i expect even more will be done to make sure people watch it.

And damn well-deserved. Two issues in and already one of the better titles on stands.

Yeah, Black Panther the movie is going to make serious bank. There's so much buzz around the character and we're two years out. Heck we don't even have a finished script or a completely assembled cast. This is really...really good news. Also, has anyone read the book? I watched the video about it on Marvel's youtube channel and it looks awesome, but I just want to know what people think of it. I mean, it's clearly successful but is it one of the best Panther runs so far?

Black Panther has always been one of the most underrated CB characters that deserved more recognition with the mainstream audience than he gotten, and I'm glad he's finally getting his due. And it's only gonna get bigger when 2018 hits.

I think for some people is that getting to the one is the result of getting hands on the other (like me)
