Kinda sorta. I mean how comics are upgraded now, no wonder Chris got the role. I wouldnt be surprised if Halle Berry got the role of Maria Hill (If she can act the part tho). When the first rumor of Chris Evans playing Captain America came out, I looked through the comics and I said Captain America does resemble Chris Evans on steroids, lol

I wish but... It's very doubtful.

Everybody is down on this costume now. :(

i can't believe all the hating on Cap's costume that i'm hearing! Cap has one of the most symbolic, well known, and flat out awesome looking costumes in comics.

and telavizion, those aren't feathers, its scale mail...armor.

I guess now Marvel is making their characters look more like the actor who is portraying them.

Chris better have a [frick]ing miracle happen to him. He had better drop his balls another inch so his voice sounds deeper, his lips better not look like he's wearing lipstick, and he better have shoulders the length of a truck tire and biceps as big as the ones in this picture or else Chris is gonna douche it up the way he does to every other movie he is in.

I say again..."a Mir-a-cle had better happen"

@r0r5ch4ch84

As far as looks go, I think he'll get plenty big.

I do agree 100% about the voice though. He does not have a deep voice.

OriginalPhysco
OriginalPhysco - 5/1/2010, 10:06 AM
@Terry Aurand,
Remember Bucky didn't want Caps same costume cuz it disrespectful. But it being Steve's clone; they could have taken a new direction (like always) and made him in Chris Evans image. Thats what the people here really mean I think but all I know is thats wat I mean. Ive read the comics and cant wait to read Secret Avengers

Although they do have this new product out now called dragon skin that the military was supposed to use but for some reason aren't. It looks like that chainmail version that nobody seems to want.

OriginalPhysco
OriginalPhysco - 5/2/2010, 7:43 PM
I bet theyll use the scales and it would work. But first have him in his Captain AMerica/army suit. Then in the future installments have him in the scale like costume. He's had it for years through out history to when he died. I doubt he even washed it, lol. But have Bucky's costume kinda entirely different with still the tribute to Captain America's
Spideyrules
Spideyrules - 5/4/2010, 3:09 PM
First of all the scales are supposed to resemble a Bald Eagle http://www.stevennoble.com/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=373&g2_serialNumber=2. Second of all, It does look like Chris! But PLEASE BULK UP MORE CHRIS!

It does look a little like him. I could see that. Sweet cover though :):)
Jackwagon
Jackwagon - 5/5/2010, 2:23 PM
@spideyrules: A Bald Eagle? Where did that come from. Cap's uniform doesn't (and never has) looked a bird. Its chain mail. It has always been chain mail. That's why you see what looks like scales, especially in the earlier issues. If anything the newer issues seem to look more like Thors armor. Which, by the way, would make a pretty cool tie in.
AtomicCockroach
AtomicCockroach - 5/6/2010, 3:45 AM
i like the pic at the top. gotta have the chainmail/kevlar suit. that bright blue thing above looks gawdawful, looks like what cap would look like if he were able to jump into the dc 'verse and appear in smallville.
***
this would be a fun thing to see in the cap movie:
Captain America stands before a group of mighty metahumans that he will soon lead into battle. It is the first such group in the history of mankind. They will strike deep into the heart of the Nazi homeland. Far from their own homes, there it is they who will be.... the Invaders!
Captain America is meeting these unique men, women, and... androids? The androids known as the Human Torch and Toro are showing off their amazing flame powers, tossing a fireball back and forth. As Cap looks on, the Torch meets his eyes and says, "So your gonna be our boss, huh? Just what can you do?"
Cap meets his challenging looks with one one amusement, "Well, I'm no Human Torch, but I do alright in a fight."
