It's about that time again for Marvel Studios. While the cast has been rounded out this past month, principal photography for Captain America: The Winter Soldier is nearing commencement. With duo directors Anthony & Joe Russo filming the sequel primarily in their hometown of Cleveland, Ohio, the Greater Cleveland Film Commission has posted the very first casting call, announcing when, where and how Clevelanders can become background extras in Marvel's 2014 “political thriller”.

MARVEL FEATURE FILM CASTING CALL

  • PAID extras for Cleveland scenes filming April & May 2013
  • Casting call Friday April 19th & Saturday April 20th
  • 10am-3pm NO EARLY LINE-UPS PLS!
  • Ages 18 & over only. If your children 9 & over are interested in being extras parents please bring CURRENT, casual snapshot.
  • NO minors at casting call please!
  • Please bring a pen for application, photos will be taken at no charge! (Business attire preferred, please be well groomed for picture!)

Marvel’s “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” will pick-up where the highly anticipated “Marvel’s The Avengers” leaves off, as Steve Rogers continues his affiliation with Nick Fury and S.H.I.E.L.D., and struggles to embrace his role in the modern world. Starring Chris Evans, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Emily VanCamp, Toby Jones, Cobie Smulders, Frank Grillo, Georges St-Pierre, Maximiliano Hernández, Hayley Atwell, Scarlett Johansson with Samuel L. Jackson and Robert Redford, “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” is directed Anthony Russo & Joe Russo from a screenplay by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely and is based on Marvel’s classic super hero Captain America, who first appeared in the comic book “Captain America #1” in March, 1941. “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” is presented by Marvel Studios and produced by Kevin Feige and co-produced by Nate Moore. The executive producers are Louis D'Esposito, Alan Fine, Stan Lee, Victoria Alonso and Michael Grillo. The film releases April 4, 2014, and is distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. In addition to “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” Marvel Studios will release “Iron Man 3” on May 3, 2013; “Thor: The Dark World ” on November 8, 2013; “Guardians of the Galaxy” on August 1, 2014; “Marvel's The Avengers” sequel on May 1, 2015; and “Ant-Man” on November 6, 2015!

Was I the only one that missed Cap having a pistol on his side in The Avengers like how he had in TFA...I know his shield is his main weapon, but I hope they give him a gun again to have as a back up.
