“Captain America: The Winter Soldier” picks up where “Marvel’s The Avengers” left off, as Steve Rogers struggles to embrace his role in the modern world and teams up with Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow, to battle a powerful yet shadowy enemy in present-day Washington, D.C. Starring Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Cobie Smulders, Frank Grillo, Georges St-Pierre, Hayley Atwell, Toby Jones, Emily VanCamp and Maximiliano Hernández with Samuel L. Jackson and Robert Redford, “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” is directed by the team of Anthony and Joe Russo from a screenplay written by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely and is based on the ever-popular Marvel comic book series, first published in 1941. Marvel Studios’ President Kevin Feige is producing the film. Executive producers on the project include Alan Fine, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Michael Grillo and Stan Lee. The creative production team on the film includes director of photography Trent Opaloch, production designer Peter Wenham, editors Jeffrey Ford, A.C.E. and Mary Jo Markey, A.C.E. and three time Oscar®-nominated costume designer Judianna Makovsky. “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” is set for release on April 4, 2014. In addition to “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” Marvel Studios will release a slate of films based on other iconic Marvel characters including “Iron Man 3” on May 3, 2013; “Thor: The Dark World ” on November 8, 2013; “Guardians of the Galaxy” on August 1, 2014; “Marvel's The Avengers” sequel on May 1, 2015; and “Ant-Man” on November 6, 2015!

Damn, and that's a sweet looking promo art, too. But I wonder why he has his USO shield with him in that pic. 'Cause if I'm not mistaken, the only time he used that shield in combat was when he went to go rescue Bucky and the other soldiers from the 107th, then it got damaged and then he acquired his circular shield. But then again, it could be just used for promo arts and that's it. Still, badass, nonetheless. :)

Looking great! Looking forward to some big things for this movie since the first one was the best of Phase 1!! Really hope this scene is true, by the looks of it the scene is true and if so this movie is on it's way to being truly awesome!!!

I'll be damned, they retconned that awful ab area of the WW2 costume, it actually has stripes.

I'm calling Captain America: Winter Soldier for best CBM of 2014.
REDSTORM

He still uses the same shield he had in the first movie. That's why they have the older shield design there. Also, I suppose this means that scene description about him stealing the suit is true.

Ooooh, nice. Guess that report from a while back (and the art in the background) pretty much confirm he'll be wearing this suit again for the latter half of the movie.

WOO.

Why are there 3 red stripes on the suit?

Captain America: The First Avenger is the best origin movie ever and best movie leading into Avengers. Definite top five favorite CBM of all time. Captain Anerica: The Winter Soldier looks to be the best sequel since X2, Spidey 2 and The Dark Knight.

@theamazingspidey because he got frozen with the circular one.

So the cool suit is only used in flashbacks? Dammit. Thought he was going to wear that as his main suit.

So I guess the rumor that he breaks in and steals the suit is true. Sweet!

That center ab stripe really improves the looks of the suit.

@Nivekian you're right. Extra red stripe down the center. Love this suit. Love the idea of him stealing it. Make mine Marvel baby.

So it is the same suit from the first one but they changed the ab section . They added 3 STRIPES!!!! One in the middle and two more (one on each corner). And they cut the stripes an part on the side . The original one only had the straps for stripes ,and the white went all the way to the back .

At first I thought it was the new suit but its the original one with alterations .
Cartoon22
Cartoon22 - 7/19/2013, 1:51 PM
Not only that ^^^ but it looks like they also removed the quilted pattern by the shoulders ... I hope this suit and helmet is used in te avengers 2 movie against thanos !!!

Cartoon22 - 7/19/2013, 1:52 PM
Can someone put up a side by side comparison with the same angle of the 2 suits? This one and the original one from the first movie? To locate all the alterations/changes/improvements they made?

Looks very cool, CA:TFA was such a solid movie, felt as much like an Indiana Jones action flick as it did a super hero movie. Feels like the second one is going to be a Super Hero/Super Spy crossover, like Cap invades the Mission Impossible or Bourne universe FTW!!!!

calin88 - 7/19/2013, 1:53 PM
Great, another hyped movie that "fans" will bash like hell because Crossbones wasn't portrayed exactly like in the comics, or better yet, Baron Zemo will make an appearance without that goofy costume...Mandarin all over again
Cartoon22
Cartoon22 - 7/19/2013, 1:55 PM
It also does not have the two straps on the biceps instead its a new cut that connects with more blue material . And the two red circles with stars on the shoulders had more squares and a kinda of cross hairs pattern and not its more like an octagon shape stitching under those red circle stars on shoulders ....
capcyclopsftw
capcyclopsftw - 7/19/2013, 1:56 PM
They also removed the pointless strap that covered up the star!
Cartoon22
Cartoon22 - 7/19/2013, 1:58 PM
@TheRealRemyLebeua no they actually added 3 more red stripes . One in the center and two by the corners... :) really like it .

@CubanRaftRider yeah the inside of the inner bicep is blue now and they removed te two inner bicep straps he had on there . Also the grey lines on the chest only comes from te shoulders not they ran also from the shoulders down b4 and
