As we already know, Steve Rogers wakes up after being frozen leaving behind everyone he knew in his previous life back in the '40s. But fans of the comic will know that he hooks up with his sweetheart from the '40s Niece Sharon in modern times. Speaking to SFX Hayley Atwell, who plays Cap's love interest Peggy Carter is asked about the possibility of her reprising her role, or playing that Niece in future Marvel movies..

SFX: Would you like to see Sharon in The Avengers or a Captain America sequel and would you like to play her?
Atwell: Oh yeah, I think it's essential. Towards the end of filming I was like "Joe can Peggy have some blue serum? can she walk off at the end of the film and just pocket it? It would take you like half a day to shoot..or let's have Peggy come back and be really evil and wear latex or something". I don't know is the answer. Anything can happen. We can bring back characters from the dead, we can reinvent them later on. We can have me playing Sharon. I think it's dependant on what Marvel feels audiences want to see next.
And just by way of a little extra tidbit, Atwell also reveals that the scene from the trailers in which she touches a newly buff Steve Rogers' chest was all her own doing..
"That was improvised. I think it was the first time I was that close to Chris's body, and it was covered in glycerin. I remember just going, "Huh.."
Funny eh? If the roles were reversed and Evans copped an impromptu feel of Atwell's breast something tells me it wouldn't have gone down so well!
