Now before i get into things, this is just an opinion, and honestly it's already made so who cares. My opinion is as small as an ant! so read if you want.
Well i when i went to see Captain America : The First Avenger i loved it, but then a thinking about it i didn't like it too much! :( I didn't feel drawn into Chris Evan's Steve Rogers, Maybe if they showed him as a kid or something like that, show more of his life and what he's gone through. Its not necessarily his fault either there wasn't much going on before he became Cap.
And on top of that i didn't feel like it was in the 1940's, (0r 50's) i felt like it was on Disney ANNIE set the whole time (not that bad) but and then HYDRA i felt was a bit overboard and all the futuristic weapons i mean they could keep that but some of it was just taken too far .. And excuse me for asking but did Hitler even exist ;) ? Now i know he did but yeah. and the HYDRA Soldiers outfits were pretty lame.
There are stuff i really like in it, and scenes that i thought was cool, like the pick for Bucky i really liked.
Now if i had to pick a Director instead of the one who did Cap America i would pick LOUIS LETERRIER, also known as the Director of the Incredible Hulk but i loved his version of Hulk and I'd want that military feel that he brought! i think it would really work. it should have fallowed in IRON MAN 1 And THE INCREDIBLE HULK, but the film didn't..
Also as much hate i might get for this, remember its just my opinion and it might suck but, No Chris Evans and bring in Sam Worthington! He wanted to play Captain America he said it in a interview for AVATAR, and he's a great Action actor.. so why did they pick Chris Evans who had already been in a MARVEL film, and the part you might hate me for is, he's honestly not that good of an actor! He's come out in good comedies but to play Captain America i feel is to serious of a role :P
So that's what i think why ignore SAM WORTHINGTON when he was seriously asking for it? He's a great actor and has been a really good solid actor! i feel like him and Tony Stark arguing would be better and more people would take Captain America seriously.
One last, and way smaller thing..
i loved the direction the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe)was being taken after Iron Man 1 ending credits when they introduce Nick Fury.. and then at the end of THE INCREDIBLE HULK when Tony Stark comes into the bar to talk about the "team" and i loved it!
But as MCU time went on, they completely ignored what they started and kind of took it in a different direction, i loved THOR, but i felt like Captain America : The First Avenger was sort the worst one out of all the MCU films so far.
