With The Marvels just a couple of days away from landing in theaters, the movie's marketing campaign has become increasingly spoiler-filled.
Yesterday evening, a final trailer revealed Tessa Thompson's Valkyrie will make an appearance and, upon closer inspection, there's even a frame which appears to confirm plans for an eXciting MCU debut (you can read more about that here).
Now, a brief promo has been released and, you guessed it, it reveals yet another cameo in advance.
When the word "NEXT" flashes up on screen, we see a quiver with purple arrows in it and the long hair of a character who can only be Kate Bishop. There have been rumours Hailee Steinfeld will make an appearance for a while now and this all but confirms that's the case.
Based on what we've previously heard, [MAJOR SPOILER WARNING!] the movie ends with Ms. Marvel setting off to assemble a new team of "Young" Avengers, starting with the MCU's Hawkeye. We'd expected this to be a post-credits scene, but it appears plans have changed as there will reportedly now just be the one with a huge Multiverse Saga tease.
With reports swirling that The Marvels will struggle at the box office this weekend, revealing these cameos in advance will be dismissed as a desperate ploy by some. However, it thus far appears to be greatly increasing interest in the Captain Marvel sequel, so we'll see what happens. Plus, the two big ones have only been teased, not outright revealed, and that's a smart way to get people into theaters.
