The Marvels arrives in theaters in about two weeks' time, and we're hearing that one of the MCU sequel's post-credits scenes may feature a major cameo appearance.

Full disclosure before you read on: We have a pretty good idea who this character is, but we don't want to ruin the surprise, and/or be hit with a take-down notice - so we'll try to keep things as vague as possible.

Even so, here's your Possible Spoiler warning.

You may recall a previous leak which claimed that a certain someone (again, trying to sidestep studio wrath here) will show up in one of the post-credits stingers, but according to several well-placed sources, another scene has since been added that could set up some very exciting events in the Marvel Cinematic Universe going forward.

Have a look at a couple of Tweets, which may or may not provide some hints, below, along with a featurette which includes some new footage from the movie.

"In Marvel Studios’ The Marvels, Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel has reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree and taken revenge on the Supreme Intelligence. But unintended consequences see Carol shouldering the burden of a destabilized universe. When her duties send her to an anomalous wormhole linked to a Kree revolutionary, her powers become entangled with that of Jersey City super-fan Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel, and Carol’s estranged niece, now S.A.B.E.R. astronaut Captain Monica Rambeau. Together, this unlikely trio must team up and learn to work in concert to save the universe as The Marvels.”

The film also stars Zawe Ashton and Park Seo-joon. Nia DaCosta directs, and Kevin Feige is the producer. Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Mary Livanos and Matthew Jenkins serve as executive producers. The screenplay is by Megan McDonnell, Nia DaCosta, Elissa Karasik and Zeb Wells.

The Marvels will begin its international rollout on November 8, and was recently granted a China release on November 10, day-and-date with North America.

Can someone post a link to a source saying who it is? I won’t be seeing this in theaters so I’ll get spoiled on the cameo either way.

@mountainman - Wild theory - Kelsey Grammer as Beast who is discovering the incursions, knows that his world will soon be destroyed, and it links to Deadpool 3.

@mountainman - beast from x-men the last stand

@mountainman - If true, Marvel pretty much gave a solid explanation for why the entire X-Men cinematic universe was a cluster of inconsistent retcons. Each story/movie was affected by branches in their timelines causing retcons and continuity errors. And perhaps only Deadpool is the only threat to his Kang because Deadpool's mind is essentially a multiverse in itself.

@SonOfAGif - and that actually lines up with the X-Men comics. They are always messing things up with their time travel shenanigans.

I’m in the camp that is all in for Fox-Men cameos in Deadpool 3 (if done right). I want those characters redeemed and to get one great mutant movie with that cast before we get the new MCU versions. Hopefully Wolverine’s costume is a preview of how awesome the others will be.

@mountainman - Kelsey Grammer is the absolute best casting that was ever done in a comic book movie. He played that part so well. As bad as Last Stand was, his part was very suitable to the character throughout the film and he was amazing. The best part was when he cut lose in the final fight scene, I about lost my mind when I saw that.

Rest of that movie sucked nuts.

@mountainman - nah, it's got to be Dolph Lundgren from the 1989 Punisher movie!!!

@mountainman -
First credit scene: Kate Bishop is approached to join a team made by either Kamala or Carol
Second credit scene: Monica, who was trapped closing an incursion from the other side, meets Kelsey Grammer Beast from the X-Men

This unfortunately means that required viewing for Deadpool 3 will be every Fox-Verse X-Men film, Deadpool 1 & 2, WandaVision, Ms.Marvel, Captain Marvel 1 & 2, Loki S1 & S2, along with whatever other supplemental material you need to understand those shows or films.

It also means Monica is probably in Deadpool 3.

So it's Beast?
Ha! Resorting to nostalgia for a bump in its b.o takings.
Keep trying MCU, keep trying.
