After the cataclysmic events in New York with The Avengers, “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” finds Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, living quietly in Washington, D.C. and trying to adjust to the modern world. But when a S.H.I.E.L.D. colleague comes under attack, Steve becomes embroiled in a web of intrigue that threatens to put the world at risk. Joining forces with the Black Widow, Captain America struggles to expose the ever-widening conspiracy while fighting off professional assassins sent to silence him at every turn. When the full scope of the villainous plot is revealed, Captain America and the Black Widow enlist the help of a new ally, the Falcon. However, they soon find themselves up against an unexpected and formidable enemy — the Winter Soldier. Starring Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Cobie Smulders, Frank Grillo, Georges St-Pierre, Hayley Atwell, Toby Jones, Emily VanCamp and Maximiliano Hernández with Samuel L. @GoldenOne33

Where the hell did you pull that from? Because it certainly wasn't from All Hail The King.

Aw man! I really wanted to see the one shot. I was watching it the mid-way through it froze and I found out it got take down. Can anyone please tell me what it was about! Sir Ben Kingsley was killing it!

All Hail the King was definitely an attempt to restore their mistake. Not sure what GoldenOne33 is referring to but interesting none the less. I like that they allude to the Mandarin actually existing. Although it will be tough to bring him in now. Kinglsey really was the best choice to play him.

I still wish they had just left the character out instead of bringing him in to butcher him.

Iron Man 3 sucked. Got completely away from what made Iron Man 1 great. Not sure what Shane Black was going for but it was a total mess IMO. The 42 suits was equivalent to too many enemies in a CBM. They went to the trouble of designing them and the just blowing them up unneccesarily.

Looks like Winter Soldier will be a relic of the "old" SHIELD. Maybe they use the formula Agent Carter recovered in the one shot and create Winter Soldier.

Lay off the caffiene man, you're getting a little bit over-excited...

I definitely need to see this One-Shot though. When's the release date for Thor: The Dark World Blu-Ray?

Why are we still talking about that shitty Iron man movie. It sucked. I dont care how much it made. It [frick]ing sucked. 2013 was a horrible year for CBM's and will be long forgotten after 2014 begins its spree of amazing movies. Starting with Cap and ending with Guardians.

I think there are a lot of people that would disagree with you. IM3 Thor:TDW and The Wolverine were all awesome movies.

MISTERNICEGUY-your opinion, i think it was a really good year for superhero films,i really liked IM3 ( i saw the hail to the king one shot and i still really like that movie,the political commentary done with the the mandarin in that film is still valid and great) does it have flaws? yes, does the one shot bring up some questions, yes, but none derail the film for me,MOS was really good, thor was just good and the wolverine was my favorite of last year and dont presume this year is gonna be amazing, we dont know, it could be a bad year, hopefully it is an amazing year, but we do not know

continuezero-well tony builds 42 suits because he cant sleep and he feels the threat is imminent,he is paranoid so in order to keep the people he loves safe, he creates these suits, he feels he needs iron man, he feels he needs to be him but at the end of the film, he realizes that he is the true hero,his brains and hs wits make him iron man, not the suits so he blows them up

@TheRealRemyLebeau Clearly my comment went over your head. I stand by what I said. Iron Man 3 was a disappontment to the franchise. No reason to even go back and watch it again. What was achieved with that movie that pushed the MCU forward? Nothing. It was just an average movie at best.

continuezero - 2/4/2014, 10:37 AM
@ezio619 Yes I realise the reason for all the suits. I am saying it was unnecceary overkill that cheapened each suit. Imagine all 42 suits were brought in for 1 comic and then destroyed. Thats what I equate it to.

@ezio619 No I am fine with a stand alone movie, what I am saying though is that since this didn't contribute to the MCU and it was more a stand alone movie it needed to be a great movie and I just didn't see it. It was well filmed and the CG was great and it had alot of action but it just didn't achieve anything. I think that as a franchise continues there is a responsibility to achieve more. This was trying to be ambitious and fell short imo. I literally watched it a 2nd time and then havent since. Feel no need to.

In terms of MOS, I loved it. I liked the quick pacing that Snyder has. I thought that he got right to the point and I think he created a very strong superman. Acting was great, Krypton finally got some real attention. I love the Zod - Jor El backstory. Smallville touched a little on relationship between Zod and Jor El and I like that dynamic. I loved the movie.

Wolverine - I thought was a good movie, again nothing totally groundbreaking for me. Wasn't blown away but enjoyed it and its one of the better X men movies. That is really a better version of a stand alone movie versus IM3. I think it really stood on its own whereas IM3 leaned alot on what momentum Avengers left.

Thor 2 - I really liked, I think Thor is a difficult character for mainstream but they've done it well. I like the Loki dynamic and I like that they have really done a good job mixing in the God aspect with the Human Aspect of the MCU.

What did you think of those movies?

Honestly when I really think about it, Iron Man 3 was a better film than Thor The Dark World. IM3 had a far better story than Thor TDW's generic BS story.

But really CA:TWS will more than likely blow both of those films out of the water.

Armoredasgardian- yeah,i think IM3 is better film then thor 2 ,it has more "meat" to it but i think what made thor 2 good for me atleast,just good,not great or bad,it was just good for me was the character/family relationships. the banter between thor and loki and that relationship besides the action was well done and the acting was great, the story was just basic but i ejoyed the scince fantasy tone the film had so yeah its one of marvel studios weaker films imo but its still good
RamonSuarez
RamonSuarez - 2/4/2014, 12:41 PM
Watching Thor 2 again it doesn't hold up as well as it did the first time.

I fell IM3 has gotten better with time but Thor 2 is just too devoted to setting up the Infinity saga with the Ether that the Nine realms just get lost in the fold.

@RamonSuarez
Thor TDW just feels like its...there. It just feels like a super-generic, by the numbers sci-fi action comedy. No real purpose other than what you said setting up Infinity saga. And the Ether was poorly explained and frankly [frick]ing stupid. A black red, idk... WHAT is it??? An energy source or living thing??? It [frick]ing screeched like it was getting hurt in one scene. And it has to "infect a living host" so its a pathogen/virus also? Its really like the writers gave ZERO SHITS.
@Ezio
Lmao that was probably one of the things I disliked the most about this movie was the sci-fi and fantasy wasn't balanced at ALL. The Dark Elves could have been the Chitauri and it would have made no difference. The Elves were simply aliens in space ships with laser guns with no mystical abilities whatsoever (other than that red pill AKA "Space Extremis" as I like to call it). The "Escape from Asgard" scene was cheesy and I felt like I was watching a Star Wars movie, not a Thor movie. And also when they announced Alan Taylor was directing, I was certain they were going to go for a more fantasy feel with less science fiction.
You can say Marvel made the Asgardian aliens to "fit with the MCU better", but I call BS on that. Its because they didn't want loony, right-wing Christian nutjobs starting shit in the media over a superhero movie glorifying Pagan gods. So now the Asgardians are a "technologically advanced race" and not GODS.
ezio619
ezio619 - 2/4/2014, 1:18 PM
Armoredasgardian-so not a fan of thor 2, ok thats fine,the escape felt epic and its just another take, another interpretation, there is some scifi stuff in thor in the comics so i thought it fit but if u dont like it, thats fine
