So because of new 52 final crisis never happened right? Darkseid has no recollection of "killing" batman and therefore isn't surprised to see him back

I'm sorry, I don't care what kind of nonsense armor he has on, Batman punching Darkseid in the face is just... Batman is a bug to Darkseid. I just hate this.

no even Iron Man with his Thor-buster armor would make Darkseid flinch. >:(

Arts cool though.

This is called "nuke the fridge".

When a character survives an Atomic Bomb with just a scratch, the sense of danger is nullified.

If you guys actually read the comics (BECAUSE GOD FORBID THE PEOPLE BITCHING ABOUT FAITHFULNESS TO SOURCE MATERIAL ACTUALLY READ IT THESE DAYS!) you'd know the armor was made by the entire Justice League (and Hephestus) in the case of another invasion by Darkseid so Batman wouldn't just get obliterated in one second. Its a suit specifically designed to fight Darkseid.

@The14thavenger

He actually did kill Batman. It was stated in Justice League that Cyborgs boom tube tech occasionally transports them to Apokalips. During one such instance Batman was shot by Omega Beams and sent into the past same as in Pre-N52.
ekrolo2
ekrolo2 - 12/15/2014, 9:16 AM
And before you tell me its still BS. The suit was first forged in the center of the sun by Superman, with the materials coming from Hephestus. Then it was reinforced by the Speed Force by Flash, the Lantern Ring by Hal, the deep pressures of the ocean by Aquaman and then finally weaponized by Cyborg.

Batman 'could' give a damn? Well it's nice to know he hasn't completely written Darkseid off.

Look I love Batman but this is a bit ridiculous. Just like I thought it was ridiculous that Darkseid's Omega Beam simply sent him back in time instead of disintegrating him during Infinite Crisis.

Disclaimer: I grew up on the original George Perez version of Cyborg. I am an old school fan of the character.

However, in the background of the opening scene of this comic, we have yet another Cyborg Fail. It's dumb (to me) that Vic is instrumental in boom tubing across the universe and reinforcing Bruce's anti-Darkseid suit, but he can't do the same for himself. That pattern is familiar. It's like Cyborg only serves as a swiss army knife/McGuffin in the new 52.

On one hand, I'm happy the character is getting some attention. He's going to be in a movie! Never thought I'd see the day...

But on the other hand, Cyborg's promotion to Justice Leaguer in the comics hasn't consistently portrayed Vic Stone as a premier/big time hero. As a Teen Titan (in the 80's), he was a huge presence power-wise, and also an emotional anchor. This new version...meh. He helps others and then... gets knocked dafuggout.

As much as I hate to admit it, the writers have not taken attention away from the fact that putting Vic in the League is forced and ham-handed. Making him an A-lister COULD have worked, but they haven't succeeded, IMO.

I would have been happier with Martian Manhunter or Shazam/Captain Marvel in his slot. And if all they wanted was some diversity, an amped up Vixen would have been intriguing and would have made the league less of a sausage fest. Or the Jason Rausch version of Firestorm could have worked.

Hopefully Cyborg will fare better in the DC movies and be authentically integral to the story.

Armor origin aside, this still takes away from how Badass Darkseid is supposed to be.
slickrickdesigns
slickrickdesigns - 12/15/2014, 10:37 AM
...and if they make a suit for Batman to where he can do this to Darkseid then why not one for each member of the Justice League… Then they would all just kick Darkseids arss anytime he showed up.

@ Ekrolo2 - Thank you for that. I buy trades so I haven't read it but will be getting it all in trade. That description of what was done to the suit is epic! Seriously! All it needs is some New Genesis tech.

Batman vs. Darkseid is a fight that should be over in 2 seconds, even if Batman had 10 years to prepare. Dumb. I've really grown to dislike this character.

This is why I HATE Batman.

No drama, just visuals.

Sometimes you wonder why he doesn't teleport Black Mask away in the middle of a battle while defeating all his enemies at once with his super suit?

Pretty cool armor . I always said they should give him a superpower or give him a suit . He needs something so he can hang with the big boys .

Batman is written so horribly now. He use to struggle to overcome tough situations and now they write him like he's invincible. Obviously there is no need for the Justice League since Batman can beat anyone now. SMH. Unless Darkseid is greatly depowered, there is no way Batman can take him one on one no matter what kind of armor he is wearing! This just makes Darkseid look weak! Batman sucks now.
