if there's one constant in the universe, its that you can always count on comic companies to not let things be. This just isn't needed.

Worth a try. Might turn out as good as Batman Beyond did. And if anything else, the Batman Beyond universe needs expanding.

Never liked what Superman became in Batman Beyond. If the report from Bleeding Cool is right then this will lead to a Justice League series that is made up of the Justice League Beyond.

@GUNSMITH
In Batman Beyond Superman just lived and aged much slower even the solicit mentions that it is Kal El.

Why is it that most people on this website complain about everything? Have you learned nothing from the comics you read? If you don't like something then don't read or watch it. Sorry, I just thought this was a place for people who actually liked comics and cbm's.

I loved Batman Beyond, but this just doesn't sound like it will work. Still might check it out though, because I do like DeFalco's stories.

@ CorndogBurglar

You seem to be brandishing the opinion that this comic is just superfluous fluff that DC is wasting ink and time on and this offends you somehow?

It’s just a fun one shot story that COULD act like a TV show pilot. If lots of people respond positively you might see more.

For some reason people always think that stories like this take away from whatever version of the character they think all people should be enjoying.

For a second I thought Superman Beyond was going to be an animated series. I was a big fan of Batman Beyond and I will definitely check out the Superman Beyond comic.

The only problem here is the writer. DeFalco is the king of cliche writing and re-used plots. I remember as a teenager sitting in a comic book store where the owner, my friend, and another guy were reading pages out of a FF comic book of his and just laughing our heads off.

His Spider-Girl, while conceptually WONDERFUL, was more of the same-old, same-old.
