All the Superior Spider-Man haters should just shut their mouths. The series is great! Honestly, it's really, really great! No, Slott's not the best writer, but his writing is good enough for solid character development and attention to detail.

The Doc Ock Spidey is a really well-rounded character, and anyone who actually bothers to pick up the series and read it would understand.

Most of the people on this website hate him, but do they even know what he's like?

If you don't read it, then just shut up.

and here we have Marvel's newest event du jour. This would have worked just fine as a storyline in one title, and probably would have been a better story. At least it looks like they're trying the novel idea of having heroes fighting villains instead of each other. At least those covers look good.

Doc Ock as Spider-Man was always a stupid idea. It's the kind of idea that a hack writer who can't write realistic dialogue would come up with.

@kevberg

". . . we know what he's like and to write the character like he's suddenly a better person . . ."

Yeah, Doc Ock hasn't even lifted a finger to make himself a better person. Now, I would be pissed if this was a permanent change, but the fact of the matter is that it isn't. Peter will be back soon enough, and you along with everyone else should just strap yourself in and enjoy the ride.

Okay, I can already call it--Jean Grey mind-reads Spock, exposes his secret, and all gang up on him.

Otto is going to get back to his own body or something. I'm anyway glad we again have real Doc Ock instead of this old cripple:

Its Chameleon. Calling it now. How else. Unless they are really going to go back to the REAL Peter Parker. Also, all of those who enjoy this series: Anyone Ock Spidey has sex with is considered rape now. Seriously, he is having sex with people under flase pretenses of being Peter Parker. If you pretend tobe someones husband and sleep with the woman, thats rape. Would just like to let you know that Marvel turned Spidey into a rapist.

@kevburg

No, when I said he hasn't lifted a finger to be better, I meant he's still a villain. He's just using Spider-Man as a mask to get what he wants. Peter tried to teach him how to be a hero, but Ock doesn't want to be one. Read the series.

I am totally apposed to throwing away 70 years of history but maybe Marvel should reboot a little bit because most of there books make me cringe in disgust. I want the old Marvel back, y'know the one were we didn't have endless amounts of tie ins that have adverse effects on monthly series'.

Marvel needs to start giving a crap about there fans because in the end they generate there income. Writers at Marvel need to learn you cant just have a big event every summer that draws in every hero to fight each other and have one hero die and come back three years later.And on another how do they let Slott write his fan fiction and then have the nerve to give him a raise.
