Waid wrote several arcs during Brand New Day and they weren't exactly spectacular, Levi. He just doesn't work on Spidey. His Daredevil has been fantastic though.

Also Slott had been writing Spidey for over 3 years before Superior came around, I don't remember anyone saying he was a shit writer at all during that time.
