I don't think the series acknowledges the Superior Spidey until the next arc. That's what I seem to remember reading somewhere anyway!

That Cap suit is the t-i-t-s!!!! I am with you guys that he needs to look like that in Winter Soldier. Completely functional looking as well as being in perfect keeping with the original uniform.

looking goood.

@marvel72 I think its because avengers is moving at a faster pace than new avengers, so it shows more. I think a couple more issues into new avengers will make it the best title in now.

Adi Granov bringing the badassness in his art as usual.

And yeah, it was about time that Cap had an upgraded look and this fit great.

Thor: Hey Abyss, remember when I said I would spare you the reckoning?
Abyss: That's right Thor, you did!
Thor: ... I lied!

@8thDynasty There are a huge number of Marvel Universes, however the comics follow Earth 616(Main Marvel Comics) and Earth 1610(Ultimate Comics)

This page details the multiverse.

Something I had previously stated is that the timeline with NOW is slightly skewed because the release of series is not chronological... Avengers 1 taking place after a good deal of other series, with the best way of being able to tell is whether or not Cap is in his new uniform as his old one is trashed in Avengers 1, thus things like Uncanny Avengers first arc take place before then. As someone else mentioned, this arc takes place before the start of Superior Spider-Man so we still have Peter for this first arc.

The change-up of costumes is one of the easiest ways to determine where they fall in on the timeline, the other big one is now Beast and whether or not he appears as Feline or Gorilla and thus letting us have an approximate of when that takes place(i.e. before after that point in All-New X-Men)

The new Cap suit is bossinova, I hope that image is used as a reference for The Winter Soldier. I think that suit can transfer well onto the big screen! I especially like the different textures they have goin on. Well done!

See when Adi Granov draws Cap's new costume it looks great! Anybody else, it looks...not great. They need to go back to his original. Like this

Take away the pirate boots of course.

I really like that Cap costume, im sure it looks different in the book bu its awesome for the cover art. I liked Caps Avengers suit, it looked gre in a few shots like the "Smash" scene but di look little derpy at some angles. If they made the cowl cloth or made the helmet more like TFA it would fix my issues with it. Also anyone who says exposed ears doe the costume i say look at the Avengers art book... it looks horrible as does pretty much all of Caps comics uniform except forthe Ultimate 1940's version

Actually take the cap Avengers suit, give the helmet a more angular look like it has on the cover make the cowl a more armored material like here, make the pants a little baggier (he had a case of chicken legs a little bit) and make it a darkr blue like TFA and that would be my perfect Cap suit

The Avenger's Cap suit looked ridiculous. A walking bafoon. This looks great. They just need to modernize the suit used in TFA. Anything than that YMCA spandex suit lol.

Art can lie. They can light it how ever they want and use shading however they want. You are not getting those gradations and values without being ultra super duper anal about lighting.

Also this first arc is prior to everything because he only gets the new suit here.

And they really need to get rid of the pouches on Cap's belt....he never uses anythin' from 'em and they really just mess the look up, especially in the movie

Can we please have Richard Rider Nova again not stupid kid Nova. They have already or going to bring back Peter Quill as Starlord so there is absolutely no reason not to bring back the real Nova. When I still bought comics Nova was one of my favorite comics I was collecting and I liked that they were showing him starting the rebuilding process with the Nova Corp. Please for the love of god bring back Richard Rider.

I'm sorry, I like Cap's new costume. Looks fantastic especially with that great art. The Avengers one was good as well. It looked very good in the movie you can't tell anything from set pictures.

Yeah the set pics from the avengers made the cap suit look awful. Onscreen it looks fine for the most part. I still preferred his costume from The First Avenger though.

The comic version looks fine to me.
