Thanks to Newsarama, we have a first look at Leinil Yu's incredible pencils from Indestructible Hulk #1. The series will feature a very different status quo as the Green Goliath becomes an Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. and partners up with Maria Hill. What sort of role Bruce Banner will play remain unknown, but editor Mark Paniccia tells the site that, "I don't think Jason left easy shoes to fill, but Mark Waid takes Hulk and Bruce Banner on a new action-packed journey that is a bit more optimistic. Don't get me wrong, it's got some great mysteries and has a few very dark holes to explore but we evolve the Banner/Hulk relationship to a new status quo and I think that new and faithful Hulk fans are gonna love it!" Sound off with your thoughts and theories in the usual place!

Love Yu's work, and while for some reason I still haven't picked up any issues of Mark Waid's Daredevil, I only hear great things about it. So I'll definitely be picking this up!

I believe that arts at the Inking stage - but yeah, cool. Not that keen on Hulk's look though, looks like some kind of Jar-head marine with that hair-do.

Yeah, The hulk looks better with long hair. So, when did Banner become the smartest guy in the Marvel universe? I thought Reed Richards was?

As impossibly sweet as this art looks, there is no way that Leinil Yu is going to be able to continue to give us art this detailed and maintain a monthly schedule so I hope that Marvel has someone equally as impressive as a backup.

"Banner – smartest man alive."

Richards & Doom, anyone?

One could say Banners issue has been that unlike Doom and Reed, he has to make due with scraps. Let that man sit down for a minute and he turns those scraps into tech that can rival Iron Man and co.

Now if Yu alternated months with Dale Keown on art duties for this new Hulk book,THAT would not suck.

No,indeed....

Actually liked this series, loved the angle of Hulk being good and Banner being bad. Looking forward to this.

Yu's work is great, but Hulk: Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. is about as lame a mismatch as you can get.

btw, those are finished inks. The inker even signed it: Gerry A.
