He may not be as popular as Spider-Man or Wolverine, but Cyclops has a very solid fanbase. For that reason, it shouldn't come as too much of a surprise that the reaction to him being jailed at the conclusion of Avengers Vs. X-Men was not met with a particularly positive response. Worried that he would be left on the sidelines after Kieron Gillen's AVX: Consequences? Well, think again! Brian Michael Bendis clearly has big plans for the character in his and Stuar Immonen's All-New X-Men. It appears as if he breaks out of jail and is leading a new team of mutants in order to help those who received powers as a result of Hope and the Scarlet Witch spreading the Phoenix Force across the globe.

I was never actually a big fan of Cyclops as a character until the and of A.v.X! After the whole "Cyclops was right" ordeal I've taken a real interest in him. Now I just can't wait to see where Marvel Now takes him. I like how he's sort of becoming like Magneto in an anti-hero kind of way. And that "X" salute is just badass!!!

This is so awesome. I really hope this "Brotherhood" gets their own series in Marvel NOW! - it should be obvious to Marvel at this point that fans don't consider him to be a villain! Hopefully what we're seeing above isn't an indication that they're taking him down that route...however, why would this result in Beast going back in time to stop Scott from committing "mutant genocide"?

I'm a Scott Summers fan. Brian Michael Bendis has been pushing Scott to be a full fledge villian for awhile now. It would make an intresting stoyline for All New X-Men #1.

they are going to kill him and use the new cyclops the younger one circa the release of the next first class movie

i am a big fan of x-men evolution and the first two x-men movies

x-men comics ( with the x-ception of pre loeb ultimate ) have not made sense in 10 years

Marvel genius at it's best. Whoever invented that gesture needs a medal ;) Going back and reading old X-men titles from the 80', knowing his destiny in AvX is great... It just made him feel like such a better character not just in the new stuff but in re-reading as well

This isn't the brotherhood magneto will just be part of the x-men team cyclops will set up magneto was an x-man just before and during AVX

Makes a lot of sense. Magneto has been running with the X-men for a bit now. They really have rubbed off on him, so this I can see. And Cyclops has become more like Magneto (just like the teaser showed way back when) and Magic was one of the Phoenix five so she'd be a refugee for her crimes. That's one of the reasons Colossus is running with Cable. And NOBODY is touching Namor after basically declaring war on Wakanda.

I remember it too. Wolverine was pissed cause Cyclops had the team leave Beast and Morph behind from fighting the Sentinels. Classic scene

I can't lie, I've never been a real fan of Cyke until the past few years. I'm kind of looking forward to read a lot of the Marvel titles, including the X Men for the first time in a LONG time.
