According to the site, Marvel's rumored new Avengers series from by Rick Remender and Jerome Opena will be throwing a little more mutant into the mix than was originally thought. They hear the new comic will now be called Uncanny Avengers. So why the obvious X-Men influence? Well, it seems Cap will have a bit of help leading this particular team..

..Starring Wolverine and Captain America, running an Avengers team together, with Cap in a more movie-friendly costume. And something that is very much a post Avengers Vs X-Men comic…

So if this is on the level, it looks like the aftermath of Avengers VS X-Men will once again drive these two close friends/sometime enemies together. How do you guys feel about Cap and Wolvie as co-leaders?

As much as I love Wolverine, I would've preferred Cyclops, but let's see if he evens survives AVX.

@myparentsaredead It's more logical that Logan co-operate with Cap thanks to his human-friendly temper

I'm surprised that Cap wants to keep him on a Avengers team after he was willing to kill Hope.

We still don't know who's going to write Uncanny X-Men. I have the feeling it's Jason Aaron.

You really think Cap is ignorant to the fact that Wolverine is a murderer?

Please don't X-menate the Avengers. They are two seperate and different entities. Stop with the melting pot of characters.

lol and you guys act like Cap is like Bruce Wayne or something, he has/will kill as well. Just not as freely as Wolvie. You see Cap knows that men like Wolvie are necessary, because they have the stomach to get the things done that more squeamish characters couldn't or wouldn't.
DarthTesla
DarthTesla - 6/29/2012, 7:44 AM
@TheMyth exactly. Cap has killed people, as well. Well, mostly Nazis. And some of that was ALONGSIDE Wolverine.

One inconsistency with that that I didn't like, was during Civil War, when Cap got all pissed off at Punisher for killing Jack-O-Lantern.

DarthTesla, I don't think that was because he killed those villains as much as it was the way he did it..he executed them when they were unarmed and ready to cooperate.

@RorMachine, true, but they WERE about to kill Spider-Man, and came pretty close.

lol, I just asked because Cap was pretty pissed that Wolverine was willing to kill Hope.

So... Wolverine is running a school AND co-captaining the Avengers? Why don't they just clone him already so him being on half a dozen teams would make sense.

And c'mon... Cap associating with Wolverine, a known murderer, becomes an issue because he's willing to kill Hope? He's killed his own kids and countless others but this is the straw that breaks the camel's back? The only thing that makes him better than a guy like Deadpool is his off and on ability to feel guilt and draw arbitrary lines in the sand that he'll step across when he's feeling particularly enraged so he can regret it afterwards. The redemption story is old and tired. And there will never be a payoff because that's the character's whole draw in the first place.

@Strider Yeah it has always been like that, DC characters don't kill PERIOD. Where as Marvel characters they don't condone killing they often does what is necesarry. Just read 52 before the reboot, Batman and Superman were ripping a new asshole into Wonder Woman for killing Maxwell Lord. Even though he had killed Ted Kord and on top of that was mind controlling Superman and the only way to lift it was to kill him.

rick remender and jerome opeña on an avengers book would be great. they are one of my favorite creative teams, and made UXF one of the best books out there for a long time. remender is good at writing wolverine although jason aaron is better. still his overall writing is excellent, the dialogue flows and doesn't get bogged down and end up fighting the artwork for page presence like so many creative teams end up doing. his writing is concise, says what it has to, then gets out of the way and lets you soak in the art.

and regarding wolverine somehow being everywhere, i've just accepted it at this point. it's been like that for a long time, something like almost a year now, anyway.

Not trying to be a dick, but DC characters kill just as much as Marvel characters do.

Wonder Woman
Black Adam
Eclipso
Aquaman
Jason Todd
Damian Wayne

Just to name a few.
