Marvel have released yet another teaser image, this time featuring the full Fantastic Four line-up, including the Human Torch AND Spider-Man! Confirming Fantastic Four #600 also, what does this all mean?

After releasing teasers all this week seemingly teasing the return of Johnny Storm (the Human Torch) to the Marvel Universe, they've now followed it up with confirmation of the title returning to its original numbering with #600. And featuring yet ANOTHER shot of the recently deceased Johnny, does this really mean he'll return, and fight alongside the current team consisting of the original three members and Spider-Man?

@TheBlackWidow I'm guessing he'll return next week, based on the rate that Marvel are returning deceased characters. Steve Rogers, Johnny, Cable...

technically this issue could be a throwback to the early days of them teaming up. Also Hickman said as long he is writing for the Fantastic series, Johnny won't be back

If Marvel had any guts at all, they'd kill their entire cast of characters and start over. Insert second ridiculous statement here. Insert third ridiculous statement here.

For my real thoughts, go to some tinyurl website where I sell knockoff gucci bags. Or I can just say it right here that I don't much care for comic book resurrections that so totally minimize what was supposed to be a moment of fantastic drama (pun intended). Keep Johnny dead.

To be fair, Torch's "death" was sooo ambiguous. It's not like Cap's , where you see him lying dead in a pool of blood. All you saw was Torch being swarmed, then later Annihilus shows Reed a torn-up shirt. OH IN THAT CASE HE MUST BE DEAD! lol

telegraphed a mile away, i'll take any excuse for them to go and beat the flark out of Annihilus!

And to their credit, Captain Marvel and Gwen Stacy's death are still intact. I guess they're too "holy" to touch. But Torch? no way frickin way, Thing's got enough problems, he doesnt need a buttload of guilt to deal with forever!

Deaths usually are a way of keeping stale characters fresh. Cable's solo series sucks? KILL HIM in an awesome way. Thor's series sucks? KILL HIM TOO! then bring him back with an amazing book years later. Bucky tho, thats still iffy to me...and without an issue of his own series to dwell on it either. boo.

Judging from the way Hickman writes, i reckon he killed Torch mainly cus he was writing too many characters at the same time and needed some space.

you mean they're going to show precisely that he's not dead (as all of us pretty much knew)?

And how is it misleading to post the teaser that Marvel WANTS us all to see? FANTASTIC...FOUR...#600....WITH HUMAN FRICKING TORCH ON THE COVER!! if that's not Johnny i'll eat my hat.

And Spidey's on 3 different teams, it makes sense one of them has to give at some point. Doeesn't mean he can't be in the book as a regular guest though.

yay, the original human torch, fresh from the awful Torch miniseries, and the even more awful Invaders Now series. But Toro is around as well these days, you cant have Torch without Toro!

I dont see the sense in bringing back the original Torch to the present. Johnny Storm has the flame powers, and Vision does the android who wants to be human shtick. Hammond really needs a new codename.

Android Torch, real Torch will come back in a few issues like Robin in Batman: Under the Red Hood. Having experienced being left behind, beaten to near death, and saved by some villan Johnny will have an edge.

Android Torch sees that the team is accepting of Johnny's new "attitude" since our they're just glad to have their lil' Johnny home. Android does not understand acceptance of someone he would classify as villanous, leaves sensing he is not needed, and is consoled by Ultron. BAM! Next year's crossover arc starts!

It was too early for him to make a comeback. And like Capt America before him takes away from the validity of dying in the Marvel Univerise. That being said, we have hope for the return of all our favorites that have died off somewhere in the past. Most notably Peter Parker in the Ultimate Universe to shine his shoes with kid Spiderman, Miles Morales.
