Cover is a homage to Uncanny X-Men #139.

As for Miles, who is from the ULTIMATE universe, crossing over with 616 original teenage X-Men from the past stuck in the present? Mr. Bendis, you've had some crazy ideas, and this is up there.

This cover is actually in homage to a poster that was put up around downtown Detroit

Peter Parker has worked with the X-Men so many times in comics, video games, and TV shows, I would consider him a X-Men member:

Miles Morales is following in his footsteps.

@loki LOL!

Sooo...we get a crappy Wolverine knock-off with X-23 (terrible codename also) & we also get yet another weak Spider-Man type.
Why can't comic creators be more original? Make up something new morons!

@sameoldthing "X-23" makes perfect sense. She was the 23rd clone Weapon X created that was actually a success (where the other 22, being males, failed at successfully being created).

It's hilarious how cynical the average comic book fan is these days.
