COMICS: Mysterious New Villain Teased In Yet Another AVENGERS #1 Script Excerpt; "Go. BE."

A new script excerpt and piece of artwork reveal what appears to be a new villain that Earth's Mightiest Heroes will be facing off against in Jonathan Hickman (Fantastic Four) and Jerome Opena's (Uncanny X-Force) "Marvel NOW!" Avengers #1. Check it out!

Thanks to Comic Book Resources, we have yet another script excerpt and piece of artwork from this Novemeber's Avengers #1. As you can see, it features the debut of a new villain, although it's particularly interesting to note that the symbol on his chest is the same one that has been prominently featured on the New Avengers covers. With Hickman writing both titles, they may be even more connected than we first thought (similar to his run on Fantastic Four and FF). Be sure to sound off with your thoughts on this in the usual place.

Love the art! The writing is meh.

Ex Nihilo is the name of the villain from Dial H. He looks like a mix between Michael Pointer and Maelstrom.

Ex Nihilo has the Omega sign on his chest.

Omega = Death

Hickman made Black Panther the King Of The Dead in a recent Fantastic Four issue.

I'm loving the way Hickman is linking things up so far.

Nope, and I haven't read a single issue. It's promising that there's finally a new villain though. I've learned that with the right Youtube accounts, I can pretty much sum up what Marvel is doing and everything eventually springs back like a stretched rubber band...

They had Alpha(supposedly insanely powerful)show up in ASM now this person with the Omega in Avengers. Seems like too much of a coincidence. Since it's a new villain it could be a future evil version of Alpha who knows.

With the headdress this could be a connection to Galactus or the Celestials. If so, that would add some intrigue.

@BlueDemon lmao!! Well, I'm already subscribed to some of those already. The thing I do is subscribe to each title when I get paid but some of those titles(Avengers, New Avengers, Hulk) I will get around the new years.

It could very well be tied to Alpha. If so, intriguing. Based on the dialogue, it does seem like this Omega-branded fellow is a juvenile...

Darkseid? How does he look like Darkseid? Grabbing for straws there. I read more DC than Marvel these days but the DC fan haterade has been really annoying on this site. I know the Marvel fans dished it when the New 52 came out, but i don't want to hear any more hate on Marvel Now! The New 52 has brought a lot of new readers to DC (like myself) and increased the popularity of certain characters (aquaman), and I hope Marvel has the same luck!

@HAILHYDRA: Actually, pick up Talon. I downloaded the #0 issue last month accidentally, and I'm hooked. I love the character and story.
