COMICS: New "Marvel NOW!" Teaser Confirms The Return Of UNCANNY X-MEN?

From the creative team of Brian Michael Bendis (Avengers) and Chris Bachalo (Wolverine And The X-Men), the latest "Uncanny" Marvel NOW! teaser seemingly reveals that Cyclops and his Extinction team will indeed have their own team book next year. Check it out!

Many readers weren't particularly happy with the way that the character was treated during Avengers Vs. X-Men, and despite confirmation that he and his "Extinction" team will appear in All-New X-Men, it appeared as if their role going forward in the Marvel Universe would be a minimal one. Well, that's clearly not the case! The following teaser seemingly confirms that Uncanny X-Men is NOT coming to an end, as Brian Michael Bendis and Chris Bachalo will be launching a new #1 issue next February. The red in the image below is also a pretty strong indication that Cyclops will play a major role in the series, hopefully meaning that the Extinction team (which also includes Emma Frost, Danger, Magik and Magneto) will have a prominent role in Marvel NOW! going forward.

I KNEW IT! Seriously, next year will be the X-Men's 50th anniversary! This is good. I just hope Bachalo isn't on the book long. Let Oliver Coipel draw some issues.

I'm not sure about Bendis yet with X-Men but could be good. Very excited about Bachalo's art. I think he's great, especially on X-Men and Spider-Man.

I would love to know whether Marvel were planning this all along or if the massive positive response to Cyclops after Avengers Vs. X-Men convinced them that this is what fans want. Either way, I'm VERY happy about this. Wish Kieron Gillen was writing though...regardless, bring on the breakout!

Was planning on skipping this mini series but I guess I will order all 5 issues of AvX Consequences this coming Wednesday along with All New X-Men & Uncanny Avengers if my subscription doesn't start by then.

Meh I don't like Bendis writing it. I'll stick with All New X-men until I learn which is better.

Bendis is too much of a yes man, he's gonna write whatever he's told to write without so much as a personal thought. I'm worried about what the big wigs are gonna try to do with the characters now.

But Cyclops deserves his own book without a doupt.

@kamenriderj22- I think Marvel conceded that fans now back Cyclops not Wolverine in Avengers vs Xmen consequences latest issue. Wolverine went from being a self righteous asshole regarding Xavier's death, to telling Scott he believed Scott wasn't in control when he killed the prof. He goes on to tell Scott, that he looked to Scott as a role model. How's that for a turn of events. Marvel seems to now understand that just cause Avengers made 1.5 billion at the box office, it doesn't mean they should be the focal point of everything Marvel Comics. The fans sided with Cyclops not Douche bag Cap, iron man and the traitorous wolverine.

It pisses me off that people keep calling Cyclops a supervillain. Name one thing he did, while not being possessed by the Phoenix Force, that makes him a villain. Name one. Please.

Did he make questionable decisions? Sure. But nothing he did was evil.

I also find it funny that Wolverine took such a stand against Cyke's decisions. Wolverine. You know, the guy that slices people to pieces without thinking twice.
