Dpool,

A lot of people hate this series and are wondering the same thing as you. These writers sh!t on 50 years of spiderman, the way they ended the amazing series. They should all be fired...

Agreed @HavocPrime. Otto Vs. Goblin is gonna be crazy. They should only use 3 artists for this book: Ryan Stegman, Humberto Ramos, and Stefano Caselli!

This series is fantastic.
change is inevitable.
people are clearly afraid of change, or stuck in the past.

Pete had a good run. Its Otto's turn.

Jameson and Spidey pulling Batman/Gordon thing from 60's show; lol. That thing, about teacher being Otto's old pain in the ass, is very good writing.

@glasspleiades- Otto doesn't deserve to live. Why are people supporting a "hero" who lied, killed, and stole to get where he is?

There's never going to feel like a change if Otto in every [frick]ing issue is reminding us that he was [frick]ing Doc Ock..........I want Peter back and this Superior shit is retarded.

Me too. I just hope that his return would really make an impact on Peter's life and decisions in the future.

@CaptainObvious exactly it wasn't that long ago that this psycho tried to kill half the planet to prove how smart he is, and then kills Peter to take over his body. And people are like good for him? I will say this that douche Slott has turned Doc Ock into one hell of a villain with this run. It arguably puts him on par if not above Green Goblin and Eddie Brock's Venom(before they made him an anti-hero). For me he's hit that territory of love to hate.

God do I hate this art. It looks like something you'd find in a Sunday comic strip or in a booklet inside a cereal box. The inking and coloring look like the book's twenty years old.
I'm glad I only casually even glance at Marvel comics. I can't stand Peter Parker as a character, but now I know that there's nothing salvageable about this comic. The dialogue's awkward, the characters are awkward, the artwork is god awful, and the conflict, the focus of the issue, is something I swear I could have read in a dozen other comics from four decades ago. It's tired, and that's the worst offense a monthly comic can have. Even bad comics can be interesting as long as they're not tired (just look at All-Star Batman & Robin). This feels like Marvel editorial is on autopilot, and it doesn't make any sense. While Spider-Man, one of the (somehow) most popular characters in comics is suffering and dying (though, to me, he's been dead ever since Civil War), Hawkeye and Young Avengers are legitimately good comics that contain beautiful artwork and very engaging writing.

WHY DOES JJ HAVE TO CALL SPIDER-MAN TO REMIND HIM THEY ARE EXECUTING THE SPIDER-SLAYER, IF SMYTHE IS ONE OF SPIDER-MAN'S ARCH ENEMIES!!!???
Geektality
Geektality - 5/30/2013, 9:30 AM
Even IF Otto doesn't know, surely JJ would think Spider-Man would remember the date of one his enemies' executions.

@CaptainObvious exactly aren't superheroes all about teaching what's right?? This saying kill the guy and assume his role....

Its abhorrent morality is why I despise this series. I don't care if Otto discovers the cure for cancer, that still isn't going to get me to like him.

Slott you are the biggest SOB ever. Why would you turn a popular icon of Marvel into a trash such as Ock. @wcwpoet and CaptainObvious: I agree with you guys. Not only did Ock do all that recently, but brought about the sinister six, held New York hostage and was going to kill Harry Osborn's baby just so he could save his own life. I used to respect the man but ever since the baby thing I'm like, " YOU SICK SON OF &$@%+%". Now that he has taken over Peter's body and did all what he did by killing people, which by the way is against what spiderman had said to about ummm every superhero is the Marvel Universe. Somebody tell me when It's the end of this $&@%#} and to people who like this... What is wrong with you.
