Ok... it looks pretty awesome. I don't care for the new costumes or Starlords helmet but the art in the book is great and it seems that between this, All-New X-men, and Uncanny X-Men I am finally becoming a Bendis fan. Took him long enough to hit his stride ;)

Too much damn dialogue. The first page of the 2008 Guardians of the Galaxy had more action than this. It wouldn't be a problem if Bendis' dialogue were not boring to read.

Bendis really likes to do that one-character-repeating-another-chracter's-dialogue thing, don't he? Guess he was a major Seinfeld fan.

"The Earth is to be left alone."
"Left alone?"
"Left alone."
"Earth?"
"Earth."
"Left alone?"
"Left alone, yes."

This, of course is hyperbole, but tell me that sort of exchange don't happen in every Bendis book at least once.

Schticky dialogue aside, I AM looking forward to this. I'm a little puzzled as to why Annihilus is present in this council meeting (He's supposed to live in the Negative Zone, which is like a separate dimension and what not). But if they don't care, I guess I don't either.

so star-lords dad says something about the cancerverse and thanos. would have to think that richard rider is going to come back at some point. if star-lord can survive the cancerverse collapsing...how can nova not survive that?

Even though I'm not Bendis' biggest fan I'll be checking this out. I've often thought it'd be cool to see Marvel's version of the Federation (startrek) and it looks like they're doing that..

Who invited the Brood though.? Isn't that basically like asking the xenomorphs (alien) to join.?

Usually not one to complain but... WTF have they done to his helmet ? He looks like Space Guy #2 from a porno movie set! I will be really disappointed if they are changing Star-Lord so they can show the actors face.

Learn from the Dredd fan reaction, we like our helmets ON! for the love of god Marvel CHANGE IT BACK!

Love how Bendis sums up the entire end to the DnA Starlord character arc as "Something about something in the cancerverse and all that" thanks for clearing that up buddy. Now retcon away
