TRUST NO ONE. NOT EVEN YOURSELF.
• One hero goes rogue. Another loses his head.
• Dr. Strange and the Punisher team up for a daring raid.
• And all trails now lead to one suspect.
• But he... how is that even possible?

So, did they decapitate Nick Fury for the sake of telling a good story (which I find acceptable) or, was it in order to make the 616 a carbon copy of the MCU (which would be total bs)? Because they could have opened up a copy of Ultimates and saved the ass pain. This does make me want to pick it up though and I haven't bought a comic in a few years...

YERP/DERP there goes the original Fury. Spent so much time as a bad @$$ just to be taken out like a b*tch. I was really looking forward to this series and am a big marvel fan. It's been pretty subpar to behonest.

we're gonna start taking out cosmic all powerful super characters with giant irradiated bullets..... ugh...

it's so weird being on this end of the opinion spectrum. I'm usually having to stick up for story arcs. lol

I will say the villians they are using are refreshing though. It's not Apocolyps/Red Skull/Onslaught/Galactus/Ultron kinda thing.

There had better be a good reason why Bucky is bad now

I'm not crazy about this series, a bit confusing for me. However -- I don't think that's the real Fury that he killed. When the Eye exploded and everyone saw their "secret", Fury was the only one who didn't see anything. That seems a bit suspect to me. LMD, possibly?

For one the art is awesome. BTW can someone tell me who the artists are? I remember this artist and the same art style was used in the first couple of comics in Secret Avengers..

@Nigrutin Cover art is reminiscent of Esad Ribic (but I can't say for certain). The interior art is from Mike Deodato.

Who knows if Fury is dead? But I must say, I was not expecting those last few pages of Original Sin #3.

I was skeptical about picking it up at first but I've gotta admit, it's a pretty solid story.

@infinitemonkey, maybe that's what I haven't liked thus far. The tie-ins haven't been the best. The team ups IMO have been a little odd in the main story too. I'll be patient with this one. Even though Age of Ultron the series wasn't that great, it was necessary for the direction the marvel universe took after..

@XF14 it's more than likely, but as a few others mentioned on this site it could be a decoy.

@dethpillow, one of the things I thought was funny is Age of Ultron was suppose to be the heroes wake up call not to mess with time travel (also with all new x-men kinda) and Avengers we have the team being hurdled through time after smashing the time gem. Also Deadpool going back in time too. You kind of hit the point. I agree that having tie ins and weding a story in an individual issue and having no bearing to the ongoing is annoying. In this case, I didn't see any tie in just as you said. Why even label it an Original Sin tie in. I'm going to be patient because I'm hoping this will turn out excellent. The god butchering is cool too... I guess I just think giant irradiated bullets to kill these all powerful creatures is kinda cheese.

Will they bring Black fury to the 616. Marvel needs a true 52 to fix this mess
sicknimon
sicknimon - 6/12/2014, 12:23 PM
@BATMANx 616 has the black Nick Fury. He's currently on the Secret Avengers roster. He recognizes that he's not the original Nick Fury and is actually constantly made fun of by people about him not being the original.

they take the "dread pirate rogers" approach to the name "Nick Fury" if you know what I mean.

Either that or Bucky and Frank celebrate the world cup with a pick up game and Fury's the ball.
