EDITORIAL: Predictions For the Future of MARVEL

In this article I drop a few predictions for the future of the MCU. These are light-hearted ideas more than anything, but let me know what you think!

Alright guys, I'm in a hurry, so this is going to be a pretty short article. Let me know what you think of my predictions in the usual place! Very sorry for no pictures. For whatever reason, my internet is being a pompous pain in my ass and won't let me.

1. Vin Diesel is Adam Warlock

Rumored to have made a cameo inside a cocoon in Thor: The Dark World, Adam Warlock is a very important hero in the Marvel universe. They'll definitely be bringing him in at some point, and since he played a big part in The Infinity Gauntlet, I'd be willing to bet they'll use him sooner rather than later. Vin Diesel's comments about his involvement have surely been fishy--at least, before he was cast as Groot. But James Gunn has recently hinted there might be more to Diesel's involvement than has been announced. Could this be the "merging of the brands" that Diesel was talking about? Personally, I think he would be great for the role, and hopefully we'll get news on this soon.

2. Ultron is Really Siri

Now, I know what you're thinking--"GliderMan, that's the most ridiculous idea I've ever heard. Are you on crack?" No, I ain't on crack, and I must admit that it's pretty freaking ridiculous. The idea occurred to me way back when everybody thought JARVIS was going to be Ultron. I mean, how many times have you seen somebody ask Siri a stupid question? Perhaps Stark/Banner upgraded her? Or made a copy of her? Like I said, guys, it's just an idea, and an incredibly unlikely one--I recognize that. But I think it'd fit perfectly with Joss Whedon's sense of humor, and could perhaps be a unique way to promote the film.

3. Captain America: The Grand Director

It's looking like Marvel Studios will be the only big gun at SDCC this week, and while I'm sure the activities will be centered around Avengers: Age of Ultron, I also expect them to announce at least a couple Phase 3 movies, including the title for Captain America 3. The directors have said they're looking at "psychotic 50's cap" for the sequel, and that alone suggests the Grand Director. Also, I think the subtitle will be in the same fashion as "The Firs Avenger" and "The Winter Soldier," and this title would fit perfectly. Rather there's any truth to what's posted on IMDB--well, I guess we'll find out.
