Hello everyone! My name is Fabian S. aka “MexicanSuperman.” This is my first article, and I decided to make it about my thoughts on some of the upcoming films of 2015, which is the another year for the HOUSE WITH THE MOUSE. I believe 2015 will be a great year in film, and way better than 2014, which was't bad at all. If I have grammar mistakes, can you guys help me, because I do not know how to fix them once I post the editorial? Also, can you guys give me some tips? For whatever reason, the manage uploaded image system doesn’t give me the html code, so I can’t post images. I followed the tutorial on how to do it, but it won’t give it to me. I use Google Crome, and I also tried to do it on Internet Expoler, but that didn't help.
Jupiter Ascending
I am hoping the best for Jupiter Ascending, but I am not holding my breath. I thought the trailer was ok, but I hope it pulls an “Edge of Tomorrow” and ends up good, if not decent. I like all the Matrix films about the same, so I would be happy if the Wachowskis could deliver another good trilogy. Channing Tatum has grown on me in the last two years, so he might be fine. Mila Kunis has never wowed me anything.
Seventh Son
Looks generic to me, and it gives me a similar feeling to Eragon. Jeff Bridges needs a new agent.
Kingsman: The Secret Service
Kingsman: The Secret Service looks amazing. I am happy we are getting a fun and younger version of a James Bond film, which is being directed by the fantastic Matthew Vaughn. All the actors look great, and I hope there is a Nick Fury vs. Alfred Pennyworth fight scene. I love both X-Men First Class and Kickass, and they are the reason for my hype. The Millerverse has been great so far, and Kingsman will not disappoint.
Hot Tub Time Machine 2
The first Hot Tub Time Machine was a very funny film. The series feels like an adult version of Back to the Future, which is great. I wish John Cusack was in this one too.
Chappie
The trailer for Chappie looks great. I like the concept for the movie. I don’t know how I feel about Die Antwood, but Hugh Jackman will probably do fine in the film. Hugh Jackman’s hair looks funny. I have seen a little bit of District 9 and none of Elysium, so I don’t know how good Neill Blomkamp is.
The Divergent Series: Insurgent
Meh, just meh. The trailer looked so generic and bland. I have not seen the first one yet, if ever.
Furious 7
The new entry, in the physics defying series, looks alright. I never been a fan of these movies, and I have only seen part one, two, and four, so I might not see this one. Maybe one day I will. R.I.P. to Paul Walker.
Avengers: Age of Ultron
Man, this film looks fantastic. The films feels very trilling and everything seems at stake, unlike the first film. Every actor has done a good to great job in their roles, and the new comers look great. Ultron looks to be the best villain in MCU so far. The Hulk vs. the Hulkbuster fight looks insane. I believe this film will be the reason for the events in Captain America: Civil War.
Mad Max: Fury Road
I have yet to watch the Mad Max trilogy, but I am much hyped for this film. Everything about Fury Road looks epic, especially Tom Hardy, and Nicholas Hoult looks bat shit crazy in the trailer. I hope the movie is a success, so maybe less teen dystopian futures films are made.
Tomorrowland
Brad Bird has yet to make a bad movie, and all of his movies have been great. This movie feels like something that would have come out in the 80s, because of its tone, which is great. Tomorrowland feels fun and adventurous. The movie has a wow factor to it, which is missing from many modern movies.
Jurassic World
I love the Jurassic Park trilogy and I can’t wait for this one. This series was a big part of my childhood. To me the stars of the film are the dinosaurs, and not the stupid humans. I am glad the park is finally open after 20 something years, so the dinos can rampage through 100s of people with no escape. The new genetically engineered “D-Rex” looks intriguing, but I would like another dinosaur, that existed, to be used as the main dinosaur. I don’t why people are complaining about unfinished cgi? There is like 5 to 6 months for the cgi to be complete.
Inside Out
I hope this film brings Pixar back on top of its throne. The trailer made the film look fun at least.
Magic Mike XXL
This is Gusto’s and McGee’s most anticipated film of 2015. They plan to make a viewing slumber party for everyone on this site, once it is released on blu ray. Guys only though.
Terminator Genisys
It doesn’t look as good as the first two Terminator films, but it is already better than Terminator Rise of the Machines and Salvation. I am glad Arnold Schwarzenegger is back to kick some ass.
Ant-Man
I was really looking forward to this film more than the Avengers Age of Ultron, before Edgar Write left the project, but now not so much. I think the film will end up good and better than most people expect. The Ant-Man and Yellow-jacket suits are the MCU suits so far. They look like something Michael Wilkinson would make. The cast looks great.
Pixels
I hope this is the return of Adam Sandler. The movie’s concept is amazing to me. I just hope Chris Columbus makes it great.
The Fantastic Four
Everyone’s most anticipated film of 2015…but seriously, I can understand why people don’t like the sound of this movie. I am looking forward to this one just because of the cast and director. I would rather have a film based on the classic Fantastic Four comics, but since I can’t do anything about it, I just hope for the best. The “hacker Doom” sounds ridiculous, but maybe it works within the context of the film. He can still be a badass villain. Everyone was hating on X-Men First Class and The Wolverine, and some on X-Men Days of Future Past, and those films ended up changing many, but not all, haters’ minds.
The Man from U.N.C.L.E
I never seen the show, but Guy Ritchie is a good director and the movie has the best Superman in it.
Straight Outta Compton
I don’t know anything about the movie, other than what it is based on. Rap is one of my favorite genres of music, and I hope this movie adds to NWA’s legacy. While I am not the biggest fan of their style, I hope it pays great homage to Easy E. I hope the movie leads to a 2Pac movie.
Hitman: Agent 47
I never played the games, but I am hoping for a good video game adaptation after 20 something years of shit.
Black Mass
The cast is amazing, and so is the director. I hope this is the next great gangster movie.
Hotel Transylvania 2
The first Hotel Transylvania film was good, and Genndy Tartakovsky, the director, has a great mind. He created Samurai Jack, which Tartakovsky said he wants to finish the show with an animated film, Dexter’s Laboratory, and Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
Crimson Peak
Guillermo del Toro best genre of film is horror, and Crimson Peak will be a master piece in that genre, and it will show how real horror is done. Tom Hiddleston is a beast, but I don’t much about the rest of the cast. Pacific Rim is great no matter what anyone says. I hope this movie leads to Hellboy 3.
St. James Place
Spielberg, Hanks, and the Coen brothers…nuff said.
Spectre
The cast is amazing and so is the director, Sam Mendes. I have to catch up on the other Bond films, but Skyfall is the only Bond Film that I have seen completely, and I loved every minute in it.
The Peanuts Movie
The trailer looks so beautiful and it gave me nostalgic chills. I love that the filmmakers are keeping the same style, even with it being cgi. The movie will be another classic. It is too bad it comes out the same week as Spectre. Thank God, it is not live action.
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2
I liked the first two, especially Catching Fire, but I haven’t seen Mockingjay Part 1 yet. I am going to wait for the blu ray, like I did for the first two. I feel MJ Part 2 will be a great finally, like Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2.
The Good Dinosaur
Another dinosaur and Pixar film? That is a win, win for me. I don’t know much about the film.
Star Wars Episode VII- The Force Awakens
The trailer looks awesome, and I love the cast. I hope the movie deals with the Skywalker twins’ kids. This is my most anticipated film of 2015, and J.J. Abrams will deliver. I am not watching any more trailers, because I want to know little as possible, so I can experience what people felt when they watched Star Wars, now New Hope, for the first time. I actually love all the Star Wars films the same, even though I didn’t grow up with the films. The saga is just epic to me. I am trying to keep my hype down, but it is hard.
The Hateful Eight
Quentin Tarantino is my favorite director of all time. The cast for the movie is excellent. Django Unchained is an amazing western, so I have no doubt The Hateful Eight will be too.
What are your thoughts on upcoming films? Happy New Year to all!
