Based on the wildly popular DC Comics series "Hellblazer," seasoned demon hunter and master of the occult John Constantine (Matt Ryan) specializes in giving hell... hell. Armed with a ferocious knowledge of the dark arts and his wickedly naughty wit, he fights the good fight - or at least he did. With his soul already damned to hell, he's decided to leave his do-gooder life behind, but when demons target Liv (Lucy Griffiths), the daughter of one of Constantine's oldest friends, he's reluctantly thrust back into the fray - and he'll do whatever it takes to save her. Before long, it's revealed that Liv's "second sight" - an ability to see the worlds behind our world and predict supernatural occurrences - is a threat to a mysterious new evil that's rising in the shadows. Now it's not just Liv who needs protection; the angels are starting to get worried too. So, together, Constantine and Liv must use her power and his skills to travel the country, find the demons that threaten our world and send them back where they belong. After that, who knows... maybe there's hope for him and his soul after all.

From Executive Producer David S. Goyer (Batman Begins) and director Neil Marshall (Game of Thrones) comes a dark new thriller that proves fighting evil is a hell of a job. The series stars Matt Ryan, Harold Perrineau and Charles Halford. Constantine premieres on NBC on October 24th.

DC is dominating television.
Loved Gotham, what I've seen of Arrow is fantastic, and Flash....well, it's not Agents Of SHIELD bad.

Can't wait for Constantine!

Constantine is the 3rd most popular comic character? That's cool if it's true.

@MexicanChinman

Not on screen but apparently his character still does. He'll be seen putting out cigarettes and what not.

Kinda stupid, I know.

This show will be a bomb, saw the leaked pilot and it is 10x better than The Flash.

I'm a little worried that the show won't be able to go dark enough considering the network it is on and everything.

ScottMontgomery - Well this is the same network that airs Hannibal.

[frick]ing location based videos... This is why everyone hates America!

...Well, that and the whole 'policing the world as a cover for oil domination' shtick...

The leaked pilot episode was great! There was a lot of easter eggs such as Dr. Fate helmet and the Pandora box. Really looking forward for this show. Bring it!

@ScottMontgomery

Have you seen the networks other show Hannibal? That is literally some of the darkest and most twisted television I've ever seen. They've shown VERY gruesome things on the show (ex.Man stuffed into horse, backs cut open to make angel wings, intestines ripped out ala Silence of the Lambs). Trust me, the last network you need to worry about not going dark enough is NBC.

Didn't get a chance to catch the pilot. I'll be watching it on the 24th.

Matt Ryan has been tearing it up for my fantasy team this year. I don't know about his acting skills, though.

@vinomonster

How can you say that the show will bomb....then go on to say that it's better than Flash, which has been highly regarded? No sense...

Since Hannibal is always struggling to get viewers, I feel this show wont be as dark.

I'm pretty sure NBC keeps Hannibal on the network because of how amazing it is. The show is so good, ratings can't stop it.

Not sure they are going to get that risky with Constantine.

It would be cool if they made the tone of the show feel like a James Wan/Scott Derrickson film. Tired of this in-house network show feel.

Either way the pilot was still pretty cool. Show will most likely still rock.

I am looking forward to Constantine, it's on my most anticipated shows. It's dark and gritty but there is still humour meddling with seriousness.

Hannibal's first season was simply brilliant but the second season was a let down. I blame Bryan Fuller the creator of the series, i think he basically got carried away with the show and basically added sex scenes.

I love Constantine and am looking forward to this.

But HBO Please pick up Jim Butcher's The Dresden Files. It's time, just do it justice, please!
