BATMAN V SUPERMAN: Zack Snyder Tweets Strange Set Photo; Batfleck Costume Spotted At SDCC
Zack Snyder was rumoured to be involved with a Star Wars spin-off not too long ago, and he's now Tweeted out a photo of Henry Cavil in his Superman suit...wielding a lightsaber! Wait, what? Oh, and we also have a first look at Batfleck's costume on display at Comic-Con...
So, I guess this means that Henry Cavill has joined the cast of a Zack Snyder helmed Star Wars spin-off, right? Wrong. Well, maybe! The director is probably just having some fun here and the cloak that Henry Cavill is wearing is one of those that actors often don on set to avoid being snapped by the paparazzi. It does look a lot like a Jedi's cloak and I guess Snyder had a lightsaber hanging around somewhere...either way, we can see the Superman costume peeking through and the last time that the filmmaker sent out a photo of something covered up, we got our first look at Batman! Could this humourous tease perhaps lead to a bigger reveal? We'll have to wait and see...
UPDATE: We didn't think the Warner Bros. would be bringing anything from Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice to Comic-Con, but in a sign that we should perhaps expect a surprise at their panel on Saturday, the cape and cowl for Ben Affleck's new costume has been spotted on the show floor! It doesn't reveal much, but it does give us a better idea of the colour scheme if nothing else.
