Every year, movie studios and production companies head to the San Diego Comic Con International to provide fans with official news, casting additions and first showing footage of their highly anticipated, upcoming films. Similarly, collectible companies, such as Sideshow and Diamond Select, are present at the Con to unveil their latest line ups of products and provide limited edition pieces, available for purchase only by those in attendance. The goal of both industries seems the same: The outdo their respective performances from previous years. Now, courtesy of the official COMIC CON website and the LA Times' HERO Complex Blog, we have our first look at some of these highly sought after products that are sure to sell out quickly.





DC Universe Classics: Plastic Man with Suitcase - Mattel

Following the 2009, sold out Boba Fett concept mini-bust is the new original concept art Darth Vader, based on the drawings of Ralph McQuarrie and Joe Johnston. I love how they didn't put the newest trilogy in the Star Wars bookends product shot. : ) The Avengers painting is beautiful. While the busts are amazing, nothing can match my Captain America bobble head.

@Anil- I think that is Black Panther.

@Lee- You should check out the Batman: Brave and the Bold Plastic Man/Rubberneck battle playset. (I have kids; that's my excuse.)

That is a cool pic by Alex Ross. Funny thing though, Cap and Hawkeye's facial structure strangley resemble two characters from the Justice League painting.
