During Comic-Con, Guillermo Del Toro revealed that he is planning a TV series.

"We are going to do something on TV, on cable, and it will be announced in a couple of months," said the Hellboy director. "And one of the things I feel is worthwhile doing is an anthology horror series. We feel we can do self-contained one-hour stories."

Del Toro went on to say that he was influenced greatly by Rod Serling's old anthology show Night Gallery, as well as the TV horror of the 1970s made by Dan Curtis (Trilogy of Terror, The Night Stalker) and of course the original Don't Be Afraid of the Dark. He and Troy Nixey, director of the Don't Be Afraid remake, also pointed out that it will be interesting to see how AMC's upcoming The Walking Dead will do, suggesting that the highly anticipated series reception could impact del Toro's planned anthology show.
