made JOCASTA! Jan has been right there at his side as
his scientist wife working with Hank to invent all
these wondrous things! Without Hank & Jan half the
stories of THE AVENGERS just don't exist!!!!!!

DDD@ I respect the hell out of you, but I disagree that Hank and Janet have to be in the first Avengers. It not always about being 100% true to the comic book. It is easy to load up a comic book with a bunch of heroes and villains and make it work, but to translate that to the big screen and make sure all those characters and relationships are developed properly isn't as easy as I think some are assuming. People bitched about past CBM's having too many characters and sacrificing the story and character development. That is what the Avengers will experience if they add in too many characters. It is going to be difficult enough to develop the chemistry between the characters already cast for the film, and Hawkeye will have to be developed more being he will be new to big screen and not known to most of the general public. That to me, is more important to appeasing CBM fans by adding in Hank and Janet just to be true to the source material.

I am good either way, because the movie should rock whether Hank and Janet are involved or not. I am an avid Avengers fan, but I am also a realist and know that people are going to bitch either way. It will be very difficult to do Hank and Janet justice in a film when you can't put much time into them.
