If the cinematography in Batman v Superman is anything like Watchmen... sorry Cap 3 but you might want to change that release date. I'll still watch both.

Isn't Xena influenced by Wonder Woman?

Oh, just cast Lucy Lawless as WW and be done with it. Her "yiyiyiyiyiyi" yell can be the JLA's battlecry.

I was also wondering if that rumor about DC having short films starring other DC related heroes/villains at the end of each of their films was true??

Imagine watching BvS and then at the end credits you see a 5-10 minute vid of the ordinary crime fighting lifestyle of The Flash? lol Would be great fun!

Comic-Con was underwhelming, the BvS footage was beyond awesome and I'm sure Age of Ultron's footage would have been just as epic if not better but where's the future line up?!? And nothing about Star Wars!?! D23 better make up for it! If not Comic-Con 2015 will surely make up for it all!

@Alexandre yes very much so, Xena is basically a copy and paste of Wonder Woman with minor alterations to the overall story, hell Xena's nickname is also a rip on Diana. Xena the Warrior Princess, Diana the Amazon Princess....its the same friggen thing just a different word for the same meaning lol

How can you say there's no similarity but then say that the word Amazon was not created just for WW?
Alexandre
Alexandre - 7/29/2014, 8:30 AM
Clearly there's a similarity there

That fake Vision pic is just a photoshopped pic of Snake Eyes from the first GI Joe movie.

WW's outfit is of a typical roman style. TO say it is a complete rip is really stupid. you people sound like you're from Congress. Who gives a shit...so is Hercules copying Conan or any other barbarian character ever? They are both Warrior women. Stop being imbeciles.

@McFarlaneFan Xena is a cut and copy of Wonder Woman as stated by her creators and Lucy Lawless many many times (though not in those exact words, they said they are paying homage to Wonder Woman). Alot of Xena's character was taken straight from the Wonder Woman comics spanning from her costume which is based on Diana's original debut costume, to the fact that she IS an amazon (why not just say she's an assassin like you said?), her involvement with greek gods, even Xena's Chakram is a mix of Diana's lasso and tiara.

I'm not saying that they made Xena and exact replica of Wonder Woman, but they came pretty damn close. To ignore that and just say "oh she was different in this way and this way" and to not acknowledge her origins is to insult the character and her creators.

Definition of Amazon: a member of a legendary race of female warriors believed by the ancient Greeks to exist in Scythia

Xena and Wonder Woman are both essentially ancient Greek women. They’re both potentially daughters of Greek gods (Zeus for Wonder Woman, Ares for Xena).

No, Xena was not a chick living on an island of "lesbians." Instead, she was a chick traveling with another chick whose ambiguous relationship with one another drew many speculations from fans as lesbian subtext which deliberately was left by the writers through most of the show.

As for Gadot's WW, all the classic parts of the costume are there: the tiara, cufflings, boustier/skirt combo (no pants), eagle breast plate, lasso. Of course, the coloring is totally different, and there are no stars.

They're not exact replicas, so I personally do not think a case in court can be made.
