Warner Home Video comes to New York ComicCon October 8-10 spotlighting four upcoming releases: All-Star Superman; the 24-minute animated short Superman/Shazam: The Return of Black Adam; Lost Boys: The Thirst; and the acclaimed documentary, Secret Origin: The Story of DC Comics.

First Look! Upcoming DC Universe Animated Original Films & Shorts – Be the first to see footage from two high-profile upcoming animated productions: All-Star Superman, the 10th entry in the popular, ongoing series of DC Universe Animated Original PG-13 Movies, and Superman/Shazam: The Return of Black Adam, the anchoring piece of the DC Showcase Animated Shorts Collection. Executive producer Bruce Timm and writer Michael Jelenic lead a panel discussion and the first exhibition of clips from these two highly anticipated productions. Warner Home Video releases the DC Showcase Animated Shorts Collection on November 9, 2010, and All-Star Superman in Spring 2011.

Expect some serious blood-sucker butt kicking in the film that streets on October 12, 2010 from Warner Home Video.

The cover on that Superman/Shazam Blu-Ray is loosely based on Gil Kanes work in the comic. I hope they base the animation and story on that particular title as well. Gil Kane's style just rocks. He was a big influence on Neil Adams and a number of other great artists in the field.
