Star Lord is a bad ass and so is the rest of the Guardian Galaxy. It could work as TV series, but don't know if you can afford it with a TV budget.

Hmm Wish he would have said more about Ant-Man. Maybe he doesn't want to spoil something that they'll be announcing at comic-con? He did say that Marvel has some things planned...

Somehow I doubt anyone has brought up GotG as a possible movie. Maybe an animated flick and even then I don't think so.

X-Men: First Class didn't perform well enough given the movie's budget, but the movie has now an excellent reputation, by far the most popular super-hero movie by Fox since X-Men 2 in 2003.

I believe one of the main reason of why it didn't perform so well at the box-office is the fact that the two previous movies almost destroyed the franchise.

We can also see that the movie perform well enough in the following weeks, while other movies fall in their second week, which could be due to the reputation beginning to work from the spectators of the first week.

I'm pretty confident that the movie will sold very well on the DVDs and, if they make a sequel, I think the success will be bigger, like The Dark Knight did after Batman Begins.

All they has to do is to make the spectators believe in the X-Men franchise again, which obviously happened with First Class. I just hope they won't destroy it again with another awful movie like The Last Stand or Wolverine.

@TheGODDAMNSUPERGUY

For Ant-Man, well it ties in with the Marvel Cinematic universe; and the thing it would contribute is additional super powered characters who gained abilities through science. The following things that could be introduced through this movie is Pym particles, AIM, ideas for super powered villains for the next possibl Avenger movie, and Ultron. Plus it would be interesting to see how Edgar Wright and Joe Cornish take on this B-Rated Marvel hero.

As for Wolverine . . . I don't know; but if they include Department H, his costume and his battle against Hulk, than I think we can have a Wolverine movie.

Um, so Marvel won't be in Hall H at Comic Con. Then where the [frick] will they be!?! And how hard will it to get where they are? This is preposterous...

The Guardians of the Galaxy are going to be featured in the upcoming season of Avengers: Earths Mightiest Heroes. Rocket Raccoon and Groot look awesome.

He sounds coked up. At least he didn't choke on who his favorite was from GOTG. Working for Marvel he better know his shit. What a job. Imagine if your homework was to read comic books.

GlassHeart: actually film did perform well enough given the budget. It's now on $320M and counting. Budget was $140M. I think it's doing pretty good. Plus there is still Blu Ray/Dvd money.

Wolverine had it's chance and blew it, badly. First Class has to have a sequel! - and Deadpool would be a good movie! aslong as they don't edit it to be less gritty or less sexual or less humorous, that's the only way it'd work.

Star Lord is friggin Han Solo of the Marvel Universe. And he seems more badass than "rocket man" Adam Strange.

Deadpool needs to get made, to badass of a character and to badass of a script to get passed by

First Class 2, i could care less

Ant-Man would be pretty good, make cameos in Avengers (by name) and a physical cameo in Iron Man 3

Silver Surfer deserves better than FF2

Live action Guardians of the Galaxy would be sick

Glassheart, Most movies need to make double their money back in world wide box office revenue to break even therefor if X-Men can pass $300M world wide than it would be considered a hit, although not as big as expected. It's pace is set to be over $350M so everything should be good.
GlassHeart

@WolvieCBM and Ryguy88

I thought the gross revenues of an american movie had to fill its budget only on the US territory to be considered a hit.

If it has to make the double of its budget on the worldwide box-office, then it's fine.

And, given it's excellent reputation, even people who didn't see it in theater would probably see it on DVD (that's what happened with Batman Begins, and The Dark Knight was a huge hit after that).

Maybe, there will be enough profit to make a sequel after all. I just hope the Fox will also think that way.

@Matiax - Yeah you know

I hope,I hope, I hope, I hope they place Silver fricking Samurai in that Wolverine movie or then there would be no awesome Japan Saga. Oh and make a reference to Sunfire while ya there Fox!

Ant-man really can't handle a movie on his own. Unless a big name actor is attached to it then, I don't see it going anywhere....

Wow! That dude is DEFINITELY amping! He is speeding like a mf-er. Not only in his voice and words but in his zipping back and forth from one foot to the other. I'm telling you that guy is running on some kind of high octane fuel.

You can tell it's night by the dark and city lights outside the window. Must be some party.

Could these questions have been less relevant? Instead of asking any questions about upcoming film and director prospects for Marvel Studio films, these guys are throwing out random characters and seeing if there maybe... possibly... hope fully a chance that they can get made within the next 20 years (i.e. Guardians of the Galaxy is great but would be lucky to get an animated movie). In addition it was pretty annoying to see these guys asking about Fox Studio Productions. I think you should probably be familiar with the job of the person your interviewing so that you don't waste there time, not to mention the viewer.

@CplAmerica You hit the nail on the head! But he wasn't so forthcoming on the Marvel studios stuff either so I don't think probing him about the Avengers would've helped either! lol
