DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS Photos Spotlight Stephen's New Timepiece

A pair of suave new stills from Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness have surfaced online, offering Stephen Strange a reliable new timepiece to replace his lost Time Stone.

He may no longer have the Time Stone, but Doctor Strange still has a reliable timepiece guiding him through the multiverse.

In a fun bit of cross-promotion, Jaeger-LeCoultre has shared a pair of new photos from Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, featuring Doctor Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) sporting their Master Ultra Thin Perpetual Calendar timepiece with a silvered grey dial.

No spoilers, but the second still where Strange is seen grabbing a drink is actually from Christine Palmer's (Rachel McAdams) wedding reception. As for the first image, we're not entirely sure of the context, but it seems like he might need to fix up his watch at some point to help him on his multiverse-traversing mission.

Expect a lot more photos to be released over the next few days.

Specific plot details remain under wraps, but in addition to Cumberbatch reprising his role as the Sorcerer Supreme, the supporting cast will consist of Elizabeth Olsen as the Scarlet Witch, Benedict Wong as Wong, Rachel McAdams as Christine Palmer, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Baron Mordo, and Xochitl Gomez as America Chavez.

The film is set to premiere on Monday, so be wary of spoilers in the coming days, especially as the embargo is set to lift early the following morning. Make sure to check CBM that night for our thoughts as soon as the credits roll!

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is scheduled to hit theaters on May 6, 2022.

In Marvel Studios’ “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,” the MCU unlocks the Multiverse and pushes its boundaries further than ever before. Journey into the unknown with Doctor Strange, who, with the help of mystical allies both old and new, traverses the mind-bending and dangerous alternate realities of the Multiverse to confront a mysterious new adversary.

@ElricReturns - Yeah I agree. As far as MCU wigs go, his takes top prize for most obvious. 2nd goes to Chris Evans, though his has looked good on occasion.

If I was him I’d take the watch she gave me and Just drop it on the floor in front of her at the wedding, but then again I’m riddled with mental problems like anger issues

And why does he not have the timestone anymore? When Captain America was returning all of the artifacts, why not just reclaim the time stone since he had it orginally?

@Forthas - Hmm i don't know. Maybe because the time stone that he had originally is

@Forthas - because it has to stay in the original timeline with the Ancient One. He eventually acquires it in the first film. Banner took it, but Steve had to return it. The past would be all messed up if he just gave it to Strange instead.

The past is vulnerable without the stones being in the right place and time.

@JFerguson - Couldn't Strange use his masterful control of the time stone to get that those atoms go back to their previous non-atomized gem form?

I mean he did it with an apple, Thanos did it with Vision, why it couldn't be done with the stone?

And then use the repaired time stone to do the same with the rest.

@Timerider84 - But he could get a timestone from a pruned timeline right? If Loki did steal one from that drawer full of paper-press time stomes at the TVA, would it still work out of its own reality, or are they bound to the realities/timelines they exsisted in and that is why they dont work at the TVA ?

@Floke - I think Darksied tried to use the Infinity Gauntlet in the DC universe and it was completely useless. It’s a fair assessment that the stones only function in their home universe.
