Marvel Studios surprised many when they unveiled the end credits sequence for Scott Derrickson's Doctor Strange, which featured a very unexpected meeting between Benedict Cumberbatch's Sorcerer Supreme and his future Avengers teammate, Thor, played by Chris Hemsworth.

With the film arriving on Digital HD platforms tomorrow (and Blu-ray/DVD on Feb. 28), Marvel has released a sweet new featurette that further details the process behind creating the monumental meeting between heroes and vaguely teases their upcoming partnership in Taika Waititi's Thor: Ragnarok, which is due out this November.

Check it out below:

I've got a feeling they're going to be assembling a comic-style Defenders for Thor 3. So far they've gut Hulk, Dr. Strange, Thor, and Valkyrie.

I feel like we're on the road to Infinity War and it has me so damn excited. Guardians, Spidey, Ragnarok, Panther, they all pave the way.

Everyone recently has been imagining their favourite combos recently from when the Avengers meet the Guardians.

For me it's Thor and Drax.

It would have been great if Thor said "nice gloves" and Strange pulls them off with a rubbery snap and says "I was doing some cleaning..."

I don't like the yellow gloves but it would have been a funny nod to them.
