Marvel's legendary "Sorcerer Supreme" get's the Epic Movie treatment after the jump.

After Marvel Studios Epic CBM "The Avengers" comes out, Marvel will be branching out with other franchises allegedly. The numerous franchises up for production are Ant-Man, Dr.Strange, Black Panther and The Inhumans. The only one with a clear Green Light with a director in charge is Edgar Wright's Ant-Man with a Winter 2012 or Summer 2013 release.

Dr.Strangee is presumably next to get launched. So I decided to make a Fan-Cast of who and what I would like to be involved with the film.. A "wish list" if you will. First we need a director. And one that really pops up alot in my mind is the great...

Alfonso Cuaron
(Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban, Children of Men)

Great Visual style and deft storyteller. Extremely underated Director in my book. guy belongs in the same short list for every CBM along with Aronofsky and Del Toro. He has the vision to make the spell and sorcery element work and the grim serious tone a 3hr Dr.Strange film deserves.

DR.STRANGE/Steven Strange: Johnny Depp (Donnie Brasco, Blow)

Depp fits the age, look and talent nesscessary to pull off Dr.Strange. For obvious reasons the guy is a perfect match. Besides, his name alone could carry a film. Add Cuaron and and great support cast.. $$$$$

BARON MORDO/Karl Amadeus Mordo: Rufus Sewell (Dark City, A Knights Tale)

The "Yin" to Strange's "Yang". Sewell would be a delightful choice to play the dangerous archnemesis. He has a certain of of evil douchebagery in whatever role he plays in and he looks the part very well. Underated actor too.

THE ANCIENT ONE/Yan: Gordon Liu ( The 36th Chamber of Shaolin, Kill Bill: Volume 2)

Pai Mei playing The Teacher of Strange and Mordo? LOL. It almost sounds TOO good. : )

CLEA: Angelina Jolie (Tomb Raider, Wanted)

Jolie just seems perfect for a reunion with Depp in this. They have a certain chemistry that works. Plus, she looks like her and definetly has the personality pull off the Niece of Dormammu.

SISTER NIL: Elle Fanning (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Super 8)

It would be creepy to see Dakota's little sister play the spawn of Lilith and Ally of Mordo. Expect her name to be mentioned alot after 'Super 8' comes out.

WONG: Kwan Sang Woo (Sad Love Story, Stairway to Heaven)

Hugely popular in the Orient. He seems destined to be the next Asian actor to make the jump into Western movies so keep an eye out for this guy. He will play the Servant and best friend of Dr.Strange.

THE NIGHT NURSE/Linda Carter: Rachel Nichols ( Star Trek, G.I.Joe: The Rise of Cobra)

As kind of a bridge between Steven Stranges old life as Surgeon at the Hospital and his one as a Sorcerer Supreme. Nichols has the ummm, "Assets" to fill this role.. Not a bad actress either. ; )

BROTHER VOODOO/Jericho Drumm: Djimon Hounsou (Gladiator, Constantine)

I realise this is a pretty damn obvious pick. Well it is what it is. This guy can play a voodoo priest like nobodies business. He will be a passive ally for Strange sharing thoughts on how to best deal with Dormammu.

DORMAMMU: Jeremy Irons (The Lion King, Kingdom of Heaven)

For some reason whenever I read dialogue from Dormy.. I hear "SCAR" in my head. So here is my chance to hear the shit for real in a movie. Irons would kill it in a MO-CAP voice role as the Dark Dimensions uber-badass Ruler. Who gets summoned by Mordo.

ETERNITY: Clive Owen (Sin City, Children of Men)

When Dormammu gets a little too fiesty with Earth, Strange summons his own Cosmic Conceptual "War Daddy"... Clive owen will do the MO-CAP thing as well and lend his voice to the living embodiment of reality itself.

- I like Johnny Depp as Dr. Strange. I also had him cast in my New Avengers cast a while back. Though after watching Eureka, I second the vote of Ed Quinn as the Sorceror Supreme.

- Rufus would make a great Baron Mordo.
- Never heard of Gordon Liu. Then again, Kill Bill Vol. 2, a movie I saw a while back, isn't branded into my brain. :-( Great pick, though!
- Ooh, I love Angelina as Clea.
- I don't know about Rachel Nichols as Night Nurse. I stumbled across an actress who's voted for the role quite a bit: Melanie Lynskey from 2 1/2 Men.

- Even though Djimon Hounsou is phenomenal, Brother Voodoo's a Haitian guy. Someone said Jimmy Jean Louis, and that sounds logical, since he's the same height and a Haitian actor.

- I see Jeremy Irons is getting more love than ever on Comic Book Movie. I think he could hit the role of Dormammu out of the park like no one's business. But my choice would be Tim Curry, since his performance as Doviticus in Brutal Legend is what I envision Dormammu to sound like. But I can take Irons in a heartbeat, don't get me wrong!
- Clive Owen as Eternity = AWESOME!

Great fancast, dude.

I like the cast for Dormammu, and the overall cast in general seems like a talented bunch.

What about Tim Burton directing? He could do a good job. Only problem's that he would cast Johnny Depp as Strange, Christopher Lee as Mordo, and Helena Bonham-Carter as Clea. ;)
