This is a loaded question. Superman is by far the more powerful "being" but GL is way more versitile when it comes to abilities and powers. It doesnt say which Green Lantern is going up against Superman, which is of great importance. I love Green Lantern but Superman is one of the most powerful beings of all. Hal Jordan would last the longest without a doubt. I hate this conflicting feeling. I feel sick =p

Hal Jordan would give Clark a run for his money. Hal has the most powerful constructs of all the Corps. Clark however did break his arm, however the construct alone is impressive. Sodom Yat and Superboy Prime was an amazing fight but they are nothing compared to the veterans. I really wanna say Supes would win, hands down, but it's Hal Jordan we're talking about, the single greatest Green Lantern of all time, arguably the most powerful and gifted.

I honestly would say it's a draw unless it's the ultimate fight of all time. In that case I give it to Hal simply because of all the abilities bestowed in a GL power ring. Hal hold the line against Parallax infected Ganthet while the other couldn't. Hal can't stop. Hal also gave Supes a run for his money in the dreaded Emerald Twilight. But we must not forget that Clark always holds back because he is a good guy.

In the end, the most likely scenario is that they fight until a draw. Clark realize that this fight might take a while longer than he expects. Hal will be also open to reason with him. And both resolve whatever problems they have with a good ol' conversation!

Corpse has a point, Supes is ALWAYS holding back. Even more so against another good guy. It is even said that Kryptonite doesn't effect him as much as he makes it look. He'd honestly do little more than defend until GL decides to stop attacking. With the personalities factored in, its a tie.

If it was a random Hal Jordan leveled GL vs a random Superman leveled kryptonian, the Kryptonian would win hands down. Supes speed and reaction time is too fast.

There's nothing that says that GL has anything more than normal human reaction time... or whatever race the GL happens to be.

@GDSuperguy- Hahahaha of course we aren't biased unlike what some might think ;D

Throwing out the fact we always have Superman avatars and we're omnipresent on all Superman articles. LMAO!

But Superman has broken through hal's lame constructs before AND it's been shown that if Superman could just use his super-speed go up to hal, break his damn hand then hal couldn't use the ring and Supes could just remove it from his hand.

Deathstroke did that to Kyle Rayner in Identity Crisis I seem to remember. Hal also has a weakness of being too cocky. This proved useful to yet again...Deathstroke when he used Hal's cockiness against him.

If 'Stroke can do it, Supes can do it...but FASTER =D

@LP4 - Speed doesn't really matter that much. Stroke went up against Rayner. RAYNER is not JORDAN. Completely different scenario and fight!

@Berger- Yeah but like i said, Deathstroke used Hal's own cockiness against him as a weakness.

Hal isn't unbeatable. I don't care if he has the ability overcome fear. Superman is a GOD among men. A GOD should be able to handle a "fearless" man with no problem.

@berger - have u ever been in a real fight, buddy...? Or even a sparring match? Speed is not the only factor, but it is the most important. Could u imagine fighting someone even just 2 time faster than urself? You wouldn't stand a chance...

@MoonDoggyX - Actually, buddy, I have. Speed is good but speed is not the most essential by a long shot, and if you'd been in a fight you'd probably recognize that fact. The one who is the best at everything, from stance, strength to height comparison will win. One hard hit and you go down, no matter how fast you are. The most powerful is the most powerful. Supes is not the most powerful in this case. He is the strongest, hell yes but his powers can't even compare to Green Lantern's.
